    Converting Maztica and Horde monsters

    You're right: they're big. How about: Str 21, Dex 8, Con 16, Int 15, Wis 10, Cha 15

Sure, that sounds good :) It's nice to set them apart a little more from their earthen cousins.

Stat block and combat look good. Looks like we just need text. Any other comments? I'll try and whip up some text, but feel free to beat me to it ;)

5 ft tall and "thickly built". How thick should we make them? 100lbs? 120? thicker? I think the rest looks good.

I didn't even think about Fey as an option (obviously), but it does fit pretty well. Sure, fey is good! :) What about the other info? thoughts on ability scores and abilities?

Converting Monsters from D&D Official Video Games

From the original text: We can actually use that exact line, probably: Acid (Ex): An acid blob's acid is not strong enough to continue burning flesh after its strike, but metals are in great danger. A metal weapon that strikes a gray ooze dissolves immediately unless it succeeds on a DC 14...

Sounds reasonable :) Con 16, then? 14? Don't want it too low, or they'll have a hard time making use of their Split ability ;) And I agree the grey ooze version of the acid should work fine for this creature.

We need stats and other base information, too. We can probably borrow most of it from the Earth mephit, which these are said to resemble. Their attitudes and special abilities are what set them apart.

Looks like we've fleshed out the special abilities fairly well. Should we update Fast Healing to keep in line with the original text about gems? Fast Healing: a mineral mephit heals 1 hp per round while it is in contact with stone or gems. Gems used in this way are slowly consumed...

Sounds like a good way to go. Now we need to flesh out which abilities which types have available. We need to finish off those feats, too. Ability Focus (most useful SLA), Weapon Focus (Ray), +1. I put forth Point Blank Shot, but I'm sure there are other ideas :)

Converting Monsters from D&D Official Video Games

Good idea. Better than my mean idea ;) Hordes of little oozlings slowly devouring adventurers... Sounds good. Type: Small Ooze Hit Dice: 3d10 + Con Stats: Str 14, Dex 8, Con 18, Int -, Wis 1, Cha 1 I know oozes traditionally have abyssimal Dex scores; since these little blobs hop around...

    Planescape Converting Planescape monsters

I'm not sure. We could flesh out the description to cover the implications. Gas Immunity (Ex): A mineral mephit is immune to any gas or cloud effect that deals damage. Stinking Cloud, Cloudkill, and related effects have no effect on the mephit. Obscuring Mist, Fog Cloud, and similar effects...

Special Qualities: Immune to Gas, DR 20/slashing or bludgeoning Should they be given the Earthmove (or whatever it's called) ability that Earth Elementals possess? Stone Healing (Su) 1 hp/turn isn't very much at all. 1 hp/round?

If we're going for CR 1, the ooze probably won't be big enough for Split (Ex); though I guess we could drop the minimum hit points to 5, or to be really mean, 2 or 1; one ooze becomes many tiny oozes.

    Converting monsters from Imagine Magazine

6 would be a good number; 1d6 to determine its type randomly is easier than 1d5 ;) Is there a "Spell-like Ability Focus" feat to help boost the SLAs? We could boost its ray attack further with Point Blank Shot, though something to better its SLAs would be useful. I agree Concentration would...

    Converting monsters from Imagine Magazine

I'd say those stats look fair. If we agree on those stats, that will help complete Init, Armor Class, ranged touch... For feats, how about Weapon Focus (Ray), Spell Focus (Illusion), +1 more? I'm not sure what skills would be useful for such a creature. We'll need to determine how many...
