Is that official yet? I know quite large group of astronomers are now calling Pluto a KBO but I thought that the International Astronomical Union is keeping Pluto a planet though is does question its' status. Pluto is considered a TNO: Trans-Neptunian Object. Let's see if I can post a link...

I'm glad to hear (or in this case read) about when it's coming out. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this one though I just bought Cry Havoc but haven't looked through it yet. I will say that I'm a little disappointed that it's softcover now.

No destiny can not be changed but it is also not extremely specific. Destiny can just mean that one will do great things not necessarily successful things. No it wouldn't do to just sit back and accept it if one's actions could "soften the blow". I think Asimov had it right in his Foundation...

Those same friends said the same about Footfall. I should have put that one down instead because after all these years I still have not read it and since I loved Lucifer's Hammer I have a feeling I'd love Footfall too.

How about Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle? ISBN 0449208133 for $6.99; it's a little old but a great read IMO. I haven't read it in quite a few years (10+), a lot of my close friends got me to read it because they loved it.
