STILL no product from enworld ebay auction?

Okay... It's been two months. I still haven't received my product from the ebay auction I won in August. I've been in sporadic contact with the person who owns the account - Jason Parent, but he's not responding to his emails again. First it took months to get my community supporter...

    Popular Campaign Settings

Unfortunately, this is the wrong place to look for players - You want the Gamers Seeking Gamers forum over here: http://www.enworld.org/forumdisplay.php?f=49 (The thread, it lives again! Bullets don't stop it! Run! Run!)

Advertorials with no game content in Dragon

QFT. Plus, better than three-four pages of fiction.

    Heroes 10-23-06

Well, yes. If you've found yourself in with the devil, then might as well get a good seat. I suspect he might make a very good politician. Something I thought of before with the flight-invulnerability -> Another clue that he's tougher when he's flying is when he lands. He skids across about...

    Heroes 10-23-06

I gotta say, it's really good to see the various threads coming together and starting to move forward. - Hiro, I think, can speak some english, but he's not very good at it, and it's hard to understand him when he gets excited. It's easier for him to rely on his friend when he's around, but he...

So how many of you made the switch?

I think you're exaggerating their usefulness and their availability. In one campaign, I'm a 12th level wizard with a lesser rod of Maximize - it's a useful rod to have around, but given that I can't maximize my top level spells with it, it's mostly best for keeping some of the lower-level...

So how many of you made the switch?

These guys are going a little too deep into jargon, and a little too deep into odd books, but it looks to me that they only manage to do this by casting a whole bunch of spells, which then all go off on the same round or something - it hardly seems like something you'd see in a home game - it's...

So how many of you made the switch?

I call exaggeration here - please explain to me how, using Wizards rules for 3.5, you manage to get 12+ spells per round? Because I don't think it can be done. I know that you can get one quickened spell, and one standard spell - that's easily enough done. How do you get 12+?

So how many of you made the switch?

The ongoing game that I've been playing in since before 3.0 came out, more or less, stayed in 3.0 - although the DM allowed me to take Practiced Spellcaster and to use the Enlightened fist prestigue class because my character badly needed it. Any new games I've played have been 3.5, including...

How do you tell a fellow player he can't pick a particular feat for his PC?

Yeah, well. My point is the same - Weapon Focus can be a good feat choice for a low-level wizard, as were the others I pointed out.

How do you tell a fellow player he can't pick a particular feat for his PC?

Spell Focus (whichever - Evocation as a default) Point Blank Shot Precise Shot Skill Focus (Concentration) Eschew Materials (depending on DM style) Augment Summoning can be very helpful at low levels as well, if you're playing someone who specializes in Conjuration Weapon Focus (Spell) These...

    OotS #359 is up

It looks more like ranks in Intimidate to me than a magical effect - I suspect the druid was standing until the GM checked his remaining hit points and decided it made more sense for him to sit down. :)

    Effective ways of Fighting Illithids

I was playing in a campaign last year where we went up against Illithids, and was stunned to discover that as a Monk, I did *really well* against them. A) Good will saves. B) Stunning Fist => Illithid loses a turn. C) Rogue within 30 feet with a bow for the sneak attack win. Consider hiring...

SPOILER WARNING: A thread about the Harry Potter books

He's hoping that by forcing them to work together, that they'll work past their antagonism, find what they have in common, and build a new relationship. It, unfortunately, doesn't work, although it could have been if Harry or Snape had been willing to try harder. It's one of Harry's failures...

This Weekend at the Boxoffice 2006.10.02

I'm happy to see 'The Illusionist' still hanging in there in the top ten. That said, I haven't seen anything in a few weeks.

So why didn't WotC release a setting based on Magic the Gathering?

I don't know - I agree that the power level of Domaria doesn't meet well with D&D's rules, and agree that a book of monsters based on MtG would be kinda cool. One game that might handle Dominaria well is Everway - it never really took off, unfortunately, but it's something that sounds like it...

Incantatrix - giving up school question

The problem is that it's not in the 3.5 books - it's stated specificly in the 3.0 book (not sure which one) which contains the prestige class, but not in the 3.5 class. Red Wizards, which apparently worked the same way in 3.0 and still work that way in 3.5, suggests that you're supposed to play...

Where did you purchase your most recent set of dice?

My last purchased set of dice was in a store, although I got a bunch of FUDGE dice for free for agreeing to run some games. However, my dice bag was bought over the internet. (Dice Goblin!)

    Chargen with Hubris

It's been a while since I've read the Amber game, and I don't own a copy - can you remind me how that worked?

    Chargen with Hubris

Hmm. Looking through a thesaurus a little, I came upon kismet and moira - the first meaning chance, and the other meaning circumstance. I think I like Kismet a little more. (On the other hand, jeopardy might be a good name too.) On the one hand, we don't want kismet to result in bad things...
