I agree. Back in 2e days I had a gm who liked the realms but not dnd. So he ran his game with GURPS. If he can do that then 4e should be a piece of cake. Just pick a timeline that you like and roll in the fluff.

I think it would depend on how well it played without the hardware. If you need the hardware to play the game then it's a boardgame and not an RPG. If you can play equally well with or without then that would be interesting to say the least. If I had to buy the hardware just to get the core...

Were you playing Gurps by any chance? IIRC 1st or 2nd edition Gurps psionics were very abusable. And yeah. He was a total jerk.

I haven't read the article yet, (damn you work filters!) but if the Rouge Weapon Talent and the Scoundrel Weapon Talent do the same thing I would think that the feats interact with them the same way. I could be wrong. It happens from time to time. 

I like the preview. There are some definite plusses to having a gun, without overshadowing other weapons. Basically shoot 'em then draw your real weapon. Good job of balancing.
