If they want me to subscribe again the bare minimum they'll need to supply is an offline monster viewer. And that will have me umming and aahing.
As a guy who exclusively DMs and isn't online when preparing I need prep tools I can use offline. I don't care if the tools need me to connect...
Don't hold your breath expecting WotC to ensure it's Moonlight compatable.
Yeah you heard me. Expect them to give you a violent surprise sodomization too ;)
Hhhmmm... Thanks, but that was 5xp weem!
Well I can confirm the Owlbear threshold is certainly between 97 and 100 inclusive. I'm sure it's 100, just as others have reported.
We'll see what I can contribute to narrowing down Githyanki.
hahahahaha! I hate you weem... Why can't I stop giving you XP? I tried again but I am out for the day ;)
Edit: 96 xp and still Bugbear. Hopefully I keep colelcting 1 xps... But yeah it looks like I'll be confirming it's 100xp, as several others already have.
I am not a betting man, but I would put money on that.
Looks like I'll be going 100 Masterplan. Thank goodness I didn't renew.
As a DM I don't need CB. And I assume they are going to kill the DM tools in the same way so... Goodbye WotC (:):):):):):):):)s).
Ahmen. We are in the same boat... If they do with the DM tools what they have done with the CB I estimate I'll get less than 5% of my current use out of it. You see well over 90% of my prep time is in transit.
Way to screw over DMs.
Exactly.
I would have said :):):):)ed up in all kinds of ways.
As a DM over 90% of my prep time is on a bus/train... In other words without an internet connection.
Guess I'll just get my players to email me PDFs of their characters and switch completely to Masterplan.
Currently on 86 XP so it could be as little as 8 until I tick over to Owlbear.
I'll keep a close eye on it and report back to the thread when I tick over.
Edit: 90 now. Guess we'll settle the exact tick-over soon!
Meh I dunno man. Honestly it all reads to me as though "Advantages" are justa formalisation of the kind of thing that's always been done. I mean, I haven't seen an official SC past complexity 3 that doesn't have some way that players can recoup from a failure or two.
I think we've always...
Ah. Well I don't run my SCs that way... IME running them as a menu of skills for the player's to choose from makes them... Feel artificial and abstract I guess.
I prefer to present a scene with a clear objective to the PCs and get them to describe their actions. In fact I don't even tell them...
"Advantages" are just a formalisation of stuff that was already there, as I read it.
You know "exceeding a moderate by 5 is two successes" or "success with this secondary removes a failure". That old chestnut.
Friend computer, I feel it is my sad duty to report my fellow Troubleshooter malrux. He seems to be able to read the thoughts and intents of others. I fear he may be an unregistered mutant.
