Heroes of Battle does not rely on the Minitures Handbook at all. The system in the Heroes of Battle is not a mass combat system, however it does allow PCs to interact with the battlefield. Some like it, some don't.

D20+mods was the Psionics Handbook (3.0) method. 10+mods is the Expanded Psionics Handbook (3.5) method. Thus the poll is flawed, no vote for me. I use the XPH.

Um, Genshou, you do know that that quote is from the 3.0 SRD (I think), don't you? THe copy of the SRD that I have (taken from WotC's site) does not say that. In fact, other than were it says that distance covered counts as movement, the only mention of distance is in the charts showing the DCs.

I heard that WotC doesn't release the books to Amazon (and maybe others) as soon as they release to the LGS so that Amazon won't completely undercut the LGS system.

I think WotC may have used that book as a reference during the writing of the DMG II. There is a section that breaks down the population of a city of 10,000 people into very similar occupations. Hmmmmmmm.:lol:

At least once, yes. Hard to know what is in a book if I don't read said book. Some of them can be a bit dry, but . . . every time I didn't read a book all the way through immediately, and came back to it later, wow, how did I miss that!?!
