[3.5] Dawn of the Touch-Attack specialist?

I'm not sure if it was directly addressed in the core books, but Tome and Blood has a section on applying 'weapon' feats to spells, it talks about using weapon finesse, focus, or even specialization with touch spells or rays. It does look like 3.5 will see more arcane casters focusing on touch...

Anyone not getting the 3.5 books? (at least right away)

I won't be picking them up right away. I'm moving at the end of the month so I have no game and no money. It doesn't encourage me to run out and pick up game products. Once the paychecks start rolling in and I find a new group of gamers I'm sure I'll change my tune. Morrow

[Epic] Improved spell capacity and the high lvl bard!

I have to go with cerberus2112 on this one. The player isn't getting as much bang for her epic feat slot as she might, but I don't think that's any reason to change the feat. If Devis wants to take Improved Spell Capacity then he gets to cast one spell of the next higher level (in this case...

    Pirates and d20

I agree. I've got the Mongoose deckplans, but they're pretty spare. It would be great to have detailed maps for ships: on deck, below decks, and some kind of rigging map. Something that you could blow up and to 1"=5' and use as a battlemap would be great. I'd pay money for it. Morrow

The Liberation of Tenh Plot Thread

*Silence* . . . . . . . *The sound of a palm connecting solidly with a forehead.* Oh, REGDA! Thanks for the cliffsnotes. Some of us back here in the cheap seats need all the help we can get. Morrow

Hmm. Perhaps there is more to Regda than meets the eye. (Well, there would almost have to be, but you see where I'm going here. ) Morrow

Searching for Gamers in Central New Hampshire

One More Bump (Or, A Little Persistence Never Hurt Anyone) Plans are well underway to move from Somerville, MA (Land of 10,000 Gamers) to Plymouth, NH at the end of the month. It looks like I'll have a home and a job well before I arrive, now all I really need is a game. :D I have a vague...

In Search of the Best Module Ever

Ah, a Mystara fan. That's a great list. I have to admit that I could never figure out what to do with Where Chaos Reigns (save a world you've never encountered before and care nothing about from the borg?) or Twilight Calling (The worlds are pretty cool, but the Carnifex aren't really detailed...

    Thoughts on Bargle

Praise the red box. The world that became Mystara introduced me to rpgs. I don't think I've ever run a game, in any system, that didn't steal material from Mystara at one point or another. oD&D, it's good clean fun and still, for my money, the best way to introduce people to fantasy rpgs. [June] What are you playing?

Well, I'll be DMing the last session of my Knights of Ill Fortune campaign next week. The game has gone pretty well. It's an excellent group of players, but the campaign never quite came together in my head the way that I would like. Next month I'm leaving Boston (the land of 10,000 gamers)...

    Dynasties & Demagogues: Retail Penetration?

Let's here it for market research. 1. Yes, I saw it in Pandemonium Books & Games in Cambridge, MA. 2. On the new releases shelf. The full cover was visable. 3. While I was browsing a store employee was recomending Dynasties to a customer. He had clearly read the book and could provide a...

[Review] Dynasties and Demagogues (...and an informal poll)

In my experience, a D&D game with a political slant is a pretty hard sell. I've tried to start up politically flavored games on a couple of occasions without much luck. I suspect it would be a lot easier to slip political elements into a game that players are already engaged in, than to...

Dungeon #99 - Is the end near?

Getting back to Dungeon #99, is Quadripartie any good? Does it include nifty new Far Realms information, or is it just a monster bash that happens to include an alienist? Morrow

Ghostwalk: Are you going to buy it?

Absolutely. Not only does it look like a killer supplement in its own right, it should provide an excellent way to tie together material borrowed from a number of sources. For example, Manifest's whole "doorway to the underworld" angle will fits snuggly into the cosmology from Green Ronin's...
