    Battlestar Podcasts and DVD Question

No idea about the new podcast, as I am waiting for it myself. Bear McCreary's blog mentioned that they are aiming for an August soundtrack release to coincide with the DVDs, so I would assume August.

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--3/25/07--Arc 20 (Season Conclusion)

The podcasts didn't start until after the half-way point of the first season, but I catch the meaning ;) The blog certainly articulates the point well enough, even though the perspective is quite different from my own. As I said, I'm not going to try and convince anyone who has been put off by...

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--3/25/07--Arc 20 (Season Conclusion)

My point here is actually that with this choice, there are now loose threads earlier in the series that can be picked up. I certainly don't think that any of the 'standard' Cylons, with the possible exception of Cavil, consiously know about the Five, but what might be embedded in them still has...

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--3/25/07--Arc 20 (Season Conclusion)

Ah, fair enough. If so then faulty memory on my part. After all, I'm only cy...human. ;) Edit: Confirmed at the Battlestar wiki. It was eight, not five.

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--3/25/07--Arc 20 (Season Conclusion)

I can see potential uses for it, even if it was not planned before the season finale was conceived. Back when Baltar had poisoned Tyrol in front of 'Boomer' in an effort to get her to admit the number of other Cylons left in the fleet, she finally said "Five". At the time, D'anna and Cavil...

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--3/25/07--Arc 20 (Season Conclusion)

Fantastic episode. I'm still digesting it, though. On the use of "All Along the Watchtower" at the end, this seems to have had its genesis back in season 1. Here's the transcript for the podcast to Kobol's Last Gleaming Part II...

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--3/04/07--Arc 16

Not a problem. I found it well in line with his other podcasts. RDM seems willing to admit his mistakes in the podcast (Day in the Life, and Black Market for example) and I at least get an interesting take on what went in to an episode. If he's a bit gleefully arrogant about the aspects of...

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--3/04/07--Arc 16

Well, just listened to the podcast. Certainly makes it seem like a valid character death. Thus far, the podcasts have been pretty honest about spoilers, so I this was exactly as it appeared. I noticed a mention that Adama destroying the ship seemed like very honest emotion. Apparently that...

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--2/25/07--Arc 15

I don't mind being poked, nor do I think you are particularly negative. However, week after week, someone is decrying that the show has lost its way, so somehow the angry post just seems like it is becoming tradition.

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--2/25/07--Arc 15

Now, now. As long as _someone_ within the first five posts hated it immensely, we have a proper BSG thread. I quite enjoyed it myself, but then I always like the Chief.

    Battlestar Galactica - Colonial ranks

The Battlestar Wiki has a good article on this: http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Military_Ranks_%28RDM%29 And a nice related one on the uniforms: http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Uniforms_%28RDM%29 Also, to copy a bit from the Ronald D Moore entry there: A few personal notes as well. The...

    Secrets of Sarlona is here...

The shifters of the Savage Legion also certainly reminded me of Jaffa in the way they were described.

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--2/11/07--Arc 13

The podcast has some interesting insights as to why this was a stand-alone episode when it wasn't necessarily filmed as much. Apparently according to the original plan, something had happened in Baltar's administration before the Cylon attack, and having to do with Saggitarons. This was...

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--2/11/07--Arc 13

Given that Admiral Cain was from Tauron, I can certainly see that.

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--2/11/07--Arc 13

We also heard about the Taurons briefly. During Adama's explanation, using the cover story, of the Valkyrie's mission in Hero, the Taurons are mentioned as known for being something of a rogue colony.

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--2/11/07--Arc 13

We were actually first exposed to that last season in "Downloaded", and at that point, it seemed implied that it had been happening for quite a while. However, they way "Head-Baltar's" appearance to Caprica-Six was greeted by her, I'd say he hadn't shown himself to her in a while.

    BattleStar Galactica:Season 3.5--2/11/07--Arc 13

I thought it was mentioned a few times that the Sagittarons didn't help the resistance during the occupation of New Caprica. The stigma against medicine and doctors mostly seemed to be viewed as backwards by the other colonists. I can certainly see why they would be hated for not resisting...

Agreed. Wolf, your title was too short, and not at all confusing. For shame....for shame. :)

    Dr Who Xmas Special 06

I had a similar problem with the Christmas Invasion during the sword fight. I'm not fond of close-up head shots to cover lacking areas in effects, stunt-work, fighting, etc. In addition, my non-Who-watching friend who was in the house at the time described her performance as "more than a bit...

    Torchwood: Combat

Clearly the won't catch it until it is too late. Otherwise, what fun would it be?
