What would the hardness and hitpoints of a 12-foot diameter sphere of flesh be?

That, by the way, is nasty. In a *whoah cool* sorta way. ;)

Need help with an NPC weakness!

That's mine... ahem. How about he just automatically drains whatever batteries he comes in contact with? Or even near? He could wind up pulling so much power through normal wires as to blow circuit breakers wherever he went...

    Rocketship Empires

Absolutely, deck plans are definitely on the list. The pdf will likely be somewhat large, as one of the mainstays of StoryART Games is, of course, the Art. I do know that Ed is looking towards print as well, which may alleviate some of the concern with dial-up... You can also email questions...

CSI: Sharn (Help create 100 corpses)

    90. Two corpses are found, entwined in the tomb of one of the prominent dragonmarked houses. The younger, daughter of the house, was 14 at the time of her death, apparently by poisoning, a few days prior. However, she lies here, with a dagger wound through the stomach, and enough blood to...

    Unfinished Business

    That's a really cool idea.

    Table Rules

Rolling: each player shall own (or have on hand) enough sets of dice to roll all attacks, with damage, at once. each d20 shall be of a different color; damage dice for each d20 will match its color. (crit confirmations may be rolled seperately). Those with iterative attack sequences must...

CSI: Sharn (Help create 100 corpses)

    36. The corpse at first appears to be that of a young human schoolgirl - pigtail braids, plaid skirt, knee socks. Further examination shows that it is not, in fact, a human child, but rather an adult halfling woman. A Gather Info check (DC 17) reveals that she used to work at the Dancing Rose...

    Undead favored enemy

I actually allow the rangers in my game to critical hit their favored enemy, even if they normally couldn't. Though it might sound a bit unbalancing, it hasn't been so far.

[Dec] What's up in your campaign?

The party has been under assault by several different groups - one undead based, another a rogue band of monks, and a final one seemingly composed of mercenaries (by the dozen) hired by a supposedly long-dead archmage. All the groups seem to have the same goal - take an amulet from the monk...

What is the best software for creating quick NPCs?

http://www.dndtools.com/ I use this spreadsheet, which was recommended from a friend of my who knows the developers. You still have to do the work of picking feats and equipment, but it goes really fast. Like, five minutes or so fast. It does require excel, though. good luck! jtb

    Adventures in Time!!!

Back to see the birth of all the great inventions - Kitty Hawk, when the Wright Brothers took flight for the first time. Menlo Park, NJ, when Edison turned on the first light bulb (or first motion picture projector, or phonograph, or... well...) Alexander Bell and the telephone Morse and the...

Do you live in San Francisco? Can you help me help my game?

creepiness on the rock I agree fully with the earlier post regarding the atmosphere of Alcatraz island - it's mostly sad and wistful, rather than the angry you get at some other tragic/darkly historical sites. However. One of my coworkers used to work for the company that produces their audio...

What do your Orcs look like?

Ok - my orcs are a little strange. They look, physically, like the 3e MM orcs, I think - hairy, bestial features, tusky/fang teeth, a little slouched over, big hands, long arms... But their culture... oi. Imagine for a moment, if you will, what would have happened if the Norse, at the height...

    Speaking Abyssal inherently evil?

I would have to chime in here with another vote for "not evil". However, that doesn't mean that speaking it to an illiterate peasant or ignorant lay-priest in the backwaters of society wouldn't still get you lynched or burned at the stake as a witch.

    Knowledge comes from libraries

Yeah - I've done things along those lines. There is a library in my world that will give +1/day spent doing research, up to +10, on any knowledge check except Arcana (campaign setting thing). It works pretty well. The key to it is enforcing research time. I also have created a few specific...

Do you live in San Francisco? Can you help me help my game?

One other thing I just thought of. I have seen movies (there was one with Freddie Prinze Jr and Julia Stiles) where they are in Berkeley (East Bay) and talk about going to SF for the evening. Next shot is them driving over the Golden Gate Bridge. Next shot is them in SF. The Golden Gate...

Do you live in San Francisco? Can you help me help my game?

It's the transamerica building. And the squarish section is actually a different building; the transamerica building is a pyramid all the way to the street. One of the more recognizable SF landmarks. Interesting story: The building was never intended to be built. The blueprints were an...
