I think including the word only is putting words in their mouth. They're not invalidating that people have issues with spiders, or saying that it might not be worth removing. They're just saying that these two examples are nowhere near the same level.

I'm still very curious how the ranked choice voting would go, even if we just left it at the final list of winning subclasses. Didn't want to steal thunder from your last survivor thread for the foreseeable future though.

As someone who has generally been reading but not participating in this thread, I think most of the participants here are not as far apart in what they actually want to happen as they are sounding to each other / reading the other side as being.

Can? Absolutely. Will have fun if everyone is committed to it? Almost certainly. Is supported in the ways that an average party can and likely will diverge from the expectations of the adventure? Sporadically. Builds the soft skills of a DM and an understanding of why to make decisions one way...

One my absolute favorite subclass flavors, not to mention my current character, so I'm thrilled that this won, and that I never had to vote for anything else this round.

That's one I'm not sure any GM is entirely immune from.
