Whom they outsource it to is not my concern, it's their responsibility to make sure things don't go wrong, that's why I pay them the $. Just remember, you heard it here first. Gencon drops the ball once again!
Spidey-sense, buttercup, I've seen it before, I'll see it again. Personally, I liked registering for all my events online last year, and then having to wait 3hrs to pick up the tickets at the con. Was the USPS on vacation that day? LOL.
Just found out that I'll be going, 3rd year running now! Can't wait, but already I sense that the wizards of gencon registration are dropping the ball. . . .sheesh.
So. . .
Convention season is upon us. I have been to Gencon for the last two years, but was pondering the though of going to Origins instead of Gencon. I have never been to Origins.
Assume that I can only go to on Con - of the two, which should I attend? Any comments or experience would be...
Ran the Adventure Path about 6 months ago. . . I based it our of the Forgotten Realms, and I think the party did indeed enjoy it. That said, I would concur with most of the "Tough Beastie" comments from above. I think that as long as the GM has their eyes open, as does the party, everone...
Good grief. . .I saw it, browsed it, and here we go again - it's another 3.5 "revision" that might as well be a second printing. . . .sheesh wizards. Well, there's always hope for the Serpent Kingdom. . . I put my faith in Greenwood.
Can we hurry up and get to 4.0?
The 1st ed. AD&D Combat wheel. It was only available in Europe. I happened to be visiting family in the UK, picked it up, and the sucker is soooo cool. Useless now, but a real relic. Worth a nice nugget too.
Is it just me, or does the Eberron setting look a lot like Talislanta? Now, granted, I have not seen any Eberron advance manus or such, but the feel seems to be there. . .
Talislanta
Hero - Champions, or Star Hero
Heavy Gear - Best Mecha game period
Delta Green - Usine CoC rules
Earthdawn - but kinda broke apart at higher levels, specifically magic
I can't emphasise Talislanta enough. . .so fantastic.
The other day, I found myself wondering why I didn't make the full lemming-esque move and upgrade to 3.5.
After reading these posts, now I know why! Laff.
We're splitting hairs here. . . I don't really care if it's WotC, Paizo, a free SRD or the books themselves. My question was if there was a general feeling of quality shift in the downwards direction. Over the last two years, I don't seem to find Dragon as relevent as I did before. Now, I...
