    Ghaele's greatsword = swag?

It's in the 3.0 Arms and Equipment Guide. ("Incandescent Sword" specific weapon. +4 holy greatsword, glows 30' radius if held by CG character.)

Best cheap magic items outside the SRD? (less than 9,000gp)

Some of my favorites. (Some copied from the linked thread.) Mantle of Second Chances (DMGII, 6000 gp) - 1/day reroll Bracers of the Hunter (Secrets of Xen'drik, 8500 gp) - +5 competence bonus on Hide checks, +2 competence bonus on initiative checks and +1d6 damage to sneak attack or sudden...

    Help build an Enchanter Specialist!

Older thread: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=183584 Basically: Feats: Still Spell, Silent Spell and Eschew Materials, the Spell Focus feats, the Spell Penetration feats and Heighten Spell are possible Core chocies. Chain Spell (CArc) could be worth it. Unsettling Enchantment (CMag)...

    Need a prestige class

Runesmith is kind of tricky for a sorcerer since he'll need Scribe Scroll and Arcane Preparation (CArc). (The Rune Magic abilitity depends on "preparing" spells.) One PrC not mention yet is the Earth Dreamer from Races of Stone. Quite fitting for a dwarven earth-themed sorcerer.

    Half-Dragons and Enlarge Person

I'd be inclined to say no, but one of WotC's 3.0 adventures* had a half-dragon BBEG who used that "trick" to gain wings. *spolier:

    Spymaster?

Looks like a plan. A few suggestions: Look to buy a circlet of persuasion (DMG) and/or a chocker of eloquence (Complete Adventurer) for bonuses to social skills. If you don't have the disguise self spell, a hat of disguise (DMG) will come in handy. (Can't be used with a circlet of...

    Polymoprh and Existing Spells Question

Any rationale for your question? Why wouldn't it still be active? Anyway, there's a Rules of the Game article on this subject: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20060523a (Alternate form, but the name of the article is "Polymorphing Revisited", and there's no reason to think polymorph...

    A good wizard/fighter build?

Good post as usual Elder-Basilisk. Some thoughts: Core spells: Polymorph! deserves an exclamation mark. It is the most broken spell available to a fighter/mage. Annis hag, troll, treant or stone giant form makes you big, strong and almost invulnerable. Throw in a hydra form for lots of...

    Armor that gives DR X/bludgeoning

They're from Complete Warrior, they're +2 armor abilities and they provide DR 5 against one specific damage type. (Slashing, piercing or bludgeoning.) In order to get DR/bludgeoning you'd have to buy protection from both piercing and slashing, for a total +4 ability cost.

    Brutal Throw too strong?

As if this wouldn't be bad enough ... check out the Boodstorm Blade PrC from Tome of Battle. :) (BTW, if anyone else is wondering the feats he's talking about are from Complete Adventurer.)

Having some trouble with a PC & Deepwarden PrC - SOLVED (and in record time too!!)

Fair enough, but "they probably messed up" is not a good argument in favor of "it doesn't mean what it says", even in a WotC book. I'm sorry I so rudely ordered you to play by the RAW then. Wait. I didn't. One sign of a "crap DM" IMO is willingness to introduce house rules...

    A good wizard/fighter build?

Yes. Depends on books available and the desired "feel". Usually, the more spellcasting levels the better.

Bucklers and 2 Handed Weapons and Run Feat

No it doesn't. It specifies that you get the benefit when "you attack with a weapon in your off-hand". A character wielding a two-handed weapon is "attacking with a weapon in his off-hand". (If he's not he doesn't even need the feat to benefit from the buckler - see the buckler description.)

    [Build Contest] Grappler!

Would you mind if the character depends on form-changing (polymorph, wild shape) for greater size and strength? Edit: Oh, and are you dead set on Reaping Mauler? It's not a very good PrC. EditEdit: Standard equipment for 16th level?

Interesting statement from a WizO on the D&D forum:

The experience rules were changed in 3.5. In 3.5 you get individual XP based on your character level, while in 3.0 everyone got XP based on average party level. (They also changed the rules for monster PC XP, but hardly anyone used the DMG rules for that anyway.) The online update booklet...
