[3E/C&C] What level would you make this spell?

I'd make it more like Shillelagh. The spell is targeted upon the club or quarterstaff carried. The spell only takes effect on the victim if it's the caster who wields the affected club or quarterstaff for that attack. Duration is one round per level (up to a maximum of 5 rounds). You could make...

Quick question about a weapon property

Nope. It's Wounding all right but it's the 3.0 version. Edit: I've also just found Implacable in the 3.5 MIC. It's almost the same except that the victim bleeds 2 points per round for five rounds.

Module conversions: what would you like to see?

I know that many classic modules have been converted to 3e but I think there are still quite a few out there that are worth the effort. I've never found conversions of Dwellers of the Forbidden City, The Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun or Rahasia, for example. Last year, I converted The Hidden...

C1: The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan

Thank you for the kind words. If someone is prepared to use it, then the effort was worth it! I hope you do get to give it a go and I hope you enjoy it.

    D&D 5E (2014) Array v 4d6: Punishment? Or overlooked data

Well, by posting to the thread, you [we] make it longer. Enough people do that and you have the answer to your original question. Anyway, there's more to this thread than disagreement over this or that stat generation technique, as these last few posts indicate.

Er, given the circumstances, is that a trick question? Welcome to EN World, by the way.

I'm not familiar with the deva but the ½ damage on sneak attacks and critical hits is interesting. My players have at some point used all the other classes you mention with the exception of dread necromancer, favoured soul and ToB classes. Anyway, thanks for the reply.

I'm not going to use that house rule but I still quite like it. What was your other 3.5 house rule?

    D&D 5E (2014) Array v 4d6: Punishment? Or overlooked data

Seventeenth century typography sure was exciting. But the works of these authors are not remembered because of it. They are remembered in spite of it, because what they had to say was profound, challenging, revelatory or otherwise significant, not because of the way the words were typeset. It...

    D&D 5E (2014) Array v 4d6: Punishment? Or overlooked data

I understand. And I should make it clear that my post was not intended to champion rolling for stats as being inherently better than point buy. I simply found the experiment interesting and thought it worth mentioning as an illustration of how rolling stats can result in a fun and interesting...

And their work might have been much more entertaining to read had they broken into block capitals half way through a sentence, every now and then. Good point.

Hence the qualifying clause in the sentence you quoted.

D&D 5E (2014) Just About Sick Of Darkvision.

No PC races had both (in the core PHB, at least) but trolls did.

The essential point is made in a statement like this: "You are failing to address my question." To emphasise the point that the question has gone unanswered more than once, I could say: "I repeat, you are failing to address my question." And when I'm getting fed up with the number of times...

In general, use of language is more efficacious than use of typography.

It may well be "reasnolbe" for adults to assert their maturity by writing it in block capitals.

    D&D 5E (2014) Magic item and identifying

This is the kind of change (and every edition brings changes like this) that comes about, because an increasing proportion of D&D's players - and perhaps more importantly, designers - have played a lot of D&D in the past. To many such players, those things they once found interesting (solving...

D&D 3.x Attempt to rebuild conversion library: please upload conversions to 3.5 here

Maybe most of the 'major' modules have been done but I think there are others worthy of conversion. I've just popped by now to see what there is and what I might convert next. Any suggestions?
