    Would you Kill Mordenkainen?

The Desert Eagle .50 is an absolute blast to shoot. At least for a few minutes, before you're looking around thinking "Owwie!! Where did that .22 go?" It's fun to blow up a gallon water jug with one too. :) *quote* Kae Yoss just gave me disturbing images of Drizzt mowing down Elminster...

ready for a new round of Ceramic DM?(judgements in, check in for finals...)

Great stories all. (This is a rather late post from a Spectator-Come-Lately and includes all of the stories on the thread). You have kept me entertained while I should be working. I can't wait to hear the results of the judging. It's good to see you all having fun with this. Maybe in one...

    Well, that explains it.

    Would you Kill Mordenkainen?

A nine? Why use such an underpowered gun? I know wizards have less hit points, but, I'd probably want something with a little more power behind it. A .40 or a .45...maybe even a Desert Eagle .50. Who said overkill was a bad thing?

Do you take advantage of D&D rules support?

I was just going to be bad and talk about how much I REALLY REALLY like doughnuts. Then I read your post, and decided to answer seriously. I have never emailed customer support. The guy who regularly GMs is great and has a good grasp on the rules. So, he's likely to have a good answer to...

    Would you Kill Mordenkainen?

I said no. However, I, like most, would gladly kill of Elminster. I'd pay for the opportunity, just because of the pointy hat. But, it doesn't matter, because in the FR games me and my group play, Elminster doesn't exist. Because of the pointy hat. God, I hate pointy hats.

    Do you like demons?

Yeah, except getting the ice cream cold enough that it doesn't instantly melt on contact isn't worth the payoff

How do you handle buying magic items in cities?

Our GM set up a "Magic Item Broker" that we have dealt with since the beginning. Basically, we go to her with a list of what we want, and she looks into whether it can be found, or if it has to be made. She gets a small commission out of the deal, but it's all figured into the cost of the...

    Flintstones d20... Call for assistance!

Actually, the garbage disposal was a prehistoric pig. Also, office intercoms were talking birds that hung out in a box, and when you send a message, it flies to another box and repeats the message. All writing material was stone, and a pen was a hammer and chisel. The hedge trimmer was a...

What type of DM are you??

I chose casual, since my true answer, "crappy" isn't on the list.

    have you made any gamers?

When I first read this, I pictured it as "Have you made any gamers?" in a Frankenstein sense. I put that I have attempted to bring people into gaming, but haven't been terribly successful. I guess my problem is that the person I attemted to get into gaming isn't terribly reliable. Oh well...

    Worse. Character. Name. Ever!!

I wasn't in the game, but we make fun of a friend of ours because in a game, he had an elven character (not sure what the class was). Part of the game was that they were trying to sneak into this town, and wanted to use assumed names for some reason. So the elf thinks and states "My assumed...

Sorta like: "Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last?" "That's right, Matrix, you did!" "I lied." :D

So, are we still going to be doing this when we're 70?

C'mon...I'm sure everyone on this board has thought about the UGT (tm) at some point, and I'm sure they all look remarkably similar. :) I definately plan on being a big ol' geeky roleplayer for the rest of my life. When I die, it'll be because I rolled a natural 20 and critted the BBEG and...

Campaign idea that needs some fleshing out...

Thanks for adding some information guys. I hadn't checked this thread in a while, because I got sidetracked, and haven't been working on the campaign idea. I just remembered that I had posted this. One of the things I was thinking about in this campaign was this: 500 years ago, during the...

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

Well...as far as I'm concerned, the party is the one that made the mistake. Okay, so, they've been battling against vampires for a while...I'm sure they realize that vampires are restricted to come out at night. Should the party have been surprised that they attacked at night? I don't think...

    Giant-slayer Follies (Humor)

That was pretty funny. It's always great when stuff like that happens...it reminds me of a couple of things from games I've had in the past. A couple of years ago (we were still playing 2ed.) I was playing a wizard. We were adventuring in a swamp that was filled with goblins, and we came...

Roleplaying not Rollplaying a Monk Character

I had a LN monk I was playing for a while. I too had a low Charisma, and to play the combination of low CHA and LN, he wasn't a particularly nice guy. Not out and out mean, just not someone who makes a whole lotta friends. To justify his adventuring with the people he was with, I took it...
