Halflings - are the more than just short humans?

Just as others saw halfling ninjas n samurai, I saw halfling cleanup crews and that led into the idea of a halfling 'mob'. Brings new meaning to the Scarface line: Say hallo to my leetle friend!

    Favorite non-human PHB race.

I'm going with halflings. Had a string of them in 2E and my first character in 3E was a halfling monk and my current halfling rogue is kinda like a chihuahua, a lil guy with a BIG chip on his shoulder. So just as dwarves seem to be 'traditionally' Scottish, my halflings are Latino (very much...

    Justice League Starcrossed

Actually I hate those things in the corner, whatever the channel may be. As I watch Smackdown! right now, I noticed there's the WWE's 'WW' in the other lower corner. I've always hated when the channel decides to shrink the end credits down to advertise some other show then they could just as...

    Eberron - Cool or Drool?

It could be worse. It might've been an addiction to... CCGs! Remember kids. Just say 'No' to collectible card games.

Why the hate for anime? (Y da hat 4 anime?)

Oh yeah. If you can find it, Robot Carnival was several shorts. The one I liked the most was the giant robot battle (one was coal powered while the other ended up being pedalled!) in feudal Japan.

    Justice League Starcrossed

Doh! Actually I think it was Scott Mason. If I can find the tape I recorded the episode on I can find out for sure. Nonetheless their names were on the tombstones. The Justice Guild members were the Green Guardsman, the Streak, Tom Turbine, Catman and Black Siren with the junior member being Ray...

    The ultimate cheesy movie marathon

That was when Godzilla flew via his nuclear halitosis? Don't forget some of the old Gamera movies (Gamera is really neat, Gamera is full of meat, every kid loves Gameraaaaaaaa!), the Fantastic Four movie that was released straight to video, the pilot for the Justice League live action series...

Why the hate for anime? (Y da hat 4 anime?)

I recommend 'The Castle of Cagliostro', supposedly one of Steven Spielberg's fave movies, and was done by Hayao Miyazaki, the same fellow who did Princess Mononoke among others. It's rather over the top in an Indiana Jone-ish sort of way and a few of his tv episodes and movies have been released...

    Justice League Starcrossed

Well 3 JSA'ers you mentioned sorta encountered the JL as the Justice Guild of America tho Alan Scott (aka the Green Guardsman) was the only one mentioned by name (on his tombstone). The other two were Catman and the Streak. Still tho, I'd want to see them again.

    Justice League Starcrossed

Probably they'll show it again before JLU premieres August 7. However, they might piecemeal it during the timeslot Cartoon Network's been rerunning JL (Sundays I think) but I'm also still waiting on the last 4 new episodes of Samurai Jack.

    The Day After Tomorrow (Spoilers)

So we're all like superscrewed huh? First there's that nuclear war in The Day After then this massive ice age The Day After Tomorrow and there was that alien invasion back on Independence Day and I don't think I need to remind us all of The Day The Earth Stood Still, which wasn't near as bad as...

My Paladin killed a child molester (and now my DM wants to take away my powers!)

What about going the other direction? Suppose the girl was someone the paladin knew (or even related to). The paladin was acting as any good father would, protecting his daughter, as well as a religious leader protecting a (potential) member of his 'flock'.

My Paladin killed a child molester (and now my DM wants to take away my powers!)

Then why not turn himself in to the local authorities? What he did was a good act even if it did involve killing a 'defenseless' man. Likewise, any parent with a child in the same situation probably would've reacted the same. With the victim's testimony, he shouldn't have anything to worry about...

My Paladin killed a child molester (and now my DM wants to take away my powers!)

The paladin can throw himself upon the mercy of the court to decide his fate thus fulfilling this 'lawful' side everyone keeps bringing up. Yes he did kill a man but what the man did was far worse and good is FAR more important than order / chaos. That trial could dredge up more filth as other...

My Paladin killed a child molester (and now my DM wants to take away my powers!)

The paladin protected someone who couldn't defend herself while also sending the wicked to a much higher judge than any mortal. No, the paladin shouldn't be stripped of his powers. However he should take responsibility for his actions, perhaps throwing himself upon the mercy of the town...

[article on MSN] How to save Star Wars.

Maybe Lucas will let someone else remake all six episodes. I'd suggest Genndy Tartakovsky but I'm biased towards Samurai Jack. Wishful thinking I know but we all have dreams don't we?

    Anyone miss the old UPN?

Don't forget UPN's attempt to feed off X-Files popularity: The Burning Zone. The thing I missed about 7 Days was the hot Russian scientist, Dr Vukavitch. Sci Fi used to have decent programming with actual sci fi shows! There was that goofy 'what if tabloid stories were true?' show, The...

    Memorable movie speeches.

I kinda liked Samuel L. Jackson's speech in Deep Blue Sea. Also G'Kar's speech at the end of season 3 Babylon 5.

    American Idol-sheesh!

If you buy conspiracy theories, one I've heard is that members of the gambling community swing the vote to mess with the odds after putting money on the longshot. True, its outlandish but some have suggested boxing is rigged and wrasslin' isn't real! Next thing I know someone will say Neil...

(Mongoose) Babylon 5 Space Combat Game - Comments Needed!

Dunno if mentioning the competition is a good idea but what about releasing the fleets in battlegroups like Games Workshop did with the Epic 40K stuff? They had 'specialized' boxed sets for the various races like tanks, bikes, troops, dreadnoughts, etc so different things can be tried and the...
