    Dragon's Tail Cut?

Knockdown, Curb Stomp, Choke...those kind of manuever names wouldn't bother me. All this Clever Monkey Belching Hidden Thunderstorm stuff seems pretty weak.

    Dragon's Tail Cut?

    Why not just "Knockdown" ?

    Dragon's Tail Cut?

I'll second the Dorky. These guys need some help in the naming stuff department.

So, what do you think of Gleemax?

Haven't checked it out. Probably won't. when it comes to gaming, I'm only intereted in D&D.

So, I bet that the d12 is getting kicked to the curb...

I can't believe anyone is actually in favor of getting rid of any dice. Dice are one of the most important aspects of the game. How can someone play D&D and not love dice? They're part part of the soul of the game. Getting rid of the d12? The d12 is the funky go-getter of dice. The d4 is the...

WOTC Blog: Aftereffect and condition/effect supplement

See, to me, there's no deifference between what you just said, and what the original quote was. They both sound like vague platitudes filled with buzzwords that don't actually say anything. Seems to me that's the majority of what hasbro releases to the public. I'm not angry about it, and I...

WOTC Blog: Aftereffect and condition/effect supplement

D&D 4E What don't you like about 4E so far? (Not a rant)

My 2 main concerns: 1. No more low level play. 2. Fighters and Rogues becoming "spellcasters" I like low level play. I like having the option to not play a spellcaster.

Who is more bothered by the whole per-encoutner thing?

Hm. With that simple question, you actually changed the way I think about a lot of stuff in D&D. Seriously. I mean, not everything- but a lot of stuff.

Is 4th edition getting soft? - edited for friendly content :)

I can't speak for everyone who wants to keep save or die in the game. But as for me, I've only used save or die effects twice in 15 years of DMing. I don't enjoy using save or die effects against my players. But I enjoy watching my players reactions when the possibility of fighting a wizard...

Is 4th edition getting soft? - edited for friendly content :)

Does your DM always allow you to choose the method of your death? I hate it when a player dies in a game that I'm running. It doesn't happen all that often. But when it does happen, the player never chooses how or when he dies. It happens unexpectedly as a result of gameplay. If a player ever...

DM Tip Jar -- is that going too far?

I used to charge players ten bucks a session. My rationale was that college was expensive, and so was my free time. With 5 players and me running 3 or 4 sessions a week, it was a pretty sweet part time job.But then I didn't need the money anymore. So I stopped. I'd also let players bribe me...

Is 4th edition getting soft? - edited for friendly content :)

By plot options, I generally am talking about how the mechanics can affect the flow of the story. if an NPC villain takes down a PC in a single round, the remaining PCs have to react to that. The story changes organically based on the players decisions on how to deal with this new problem. Do...

Actual age of the 4th edition player base

Seriously, the way that some gamers I've met eat, it ain't gonna be easy finding a new group of veteran players in the near future. Gamers: Please take care of yourselves. Don't drop dead. It's hard enough finding a group after a move to a new town without having to compete with the grim reaper.
