Games You Have But Have Never played

I bought some stuff way back when that still sits unplayed on my shelf today: Boot Hill Gamma World GURPS AD&D 2E Dragonlance SAGA edition Arms Law/Spell Law

    New D&D Terminology

Similar to this, when you have been dropped by a minion, we say you have been "Mooked." Most embarrassing, not that its ever happened to me mind you. . .:erm:

    Condition Tracking

I keep a bunch of different colored pop rings in with my dice for LFR games. When people first see them they all say: "Wow, ghetto. . ." But everyone always ends up using them. Some of them are a pain in the A$$ to get off the bottle though.

What are the worst classic D&D adventure modules?

Well, I stand corrected. I just pulled out my dead tree versions of DL1-4 and its DL3 where the Obscure Death rule starts applying to "name" characters and villains. It later says "characters" = PCs. All these years, I always assumed characters meant NPC's only, like Eben & Gilthanas, etc.

What are the worst classic D&D adventure modules?

Its one thing to not like the Dragonlance modules for their railroadyness, but don't make stuff up please. If you died in the Dragonlance campaign, you died. Maybe you're confusing it the Obscure Death rule for NPC's.This basically asks the DM to always keep in mind an "out" to explain how an...

What are the worst classic D&D adventure modules?

This is a great tangent but should probably be forked so as not to derail the OP. That said, in my opinion and experience, DL is best taken as a whole, not its collective parts. You can pick individual sections apart but taken as a grand epic, it was revolutionary for its time. Much more so...

Ok what are all these adventures!?

Played the following: U3 is the finale of the Saltmarsh trilogy. Awesome wrap-up of a classic series. N4 is a mod where you are a bunch of 0 level commoners shipwrecked and you become 1st level characters as you adventure. Pretty fun.

What are the worst classic D&D adventure modules?

Never mind that I think Dragonlance is so NOT in the worst category, but I will definitely catch heck for my nomination for worst: S3 - Expedition to the Barrier Peaks. Robots, crashed spaceship, bunny-stumps, Vegepygmies! laser guns, and the map had the initials EGG on it. How lame!

    Opportunity Attacks

AFAIK, Squeezing doesn't apply here. You are allowed to move through an ally's space with no penalty as long as you don't end your move in it.

    D&D Mini Jackpot!

I have tried & tried, but I can't seem to get the base off. I'm afraid I'll crack it if I try any harder. This thread has reminded me of this failure! Maybe I'll try to chill it first. . .

Moving into square occupied by invisible & hidden creature

I've only had this happen once before and we just tried to follow the rules. You can't move into an occupied square so the moving PC then knows that that square is occupied and can't enter it. Occupied by what is unknown, but you can infer its the invisible enemy. Burning up a movement action...

    Swimming questions

So the other day, we had an underwater encounter and I caught a bit of flak when my dwarven fighter didn't charge. I replied that I didn't know I could. My move of 5 only yielded a swim speed of 2 and the critter was 5 squares away. I tried to find any rules that state you can't charge (or run)...

    D&D 4E 4E Conditions

Taking. I assumed that the crit charts would apply to the PC's so I indicated which conditions I, as a defender, would not like to see happen to me.

    D&D 4E 4E Conditions

My personal order of severity from least to most. (I usually play a defender so my preferences reflect this.) Deafened Slowed Pushed/Pulled/Slid Prone Marked Flanked Surprised Immobilized Restrained Blinded Weakened Stunned Dazed Helpless Dominated Unconscious Dying Petrified Dead Bored

Okay Charge Has me Confused ?

Agreed! I hope they clarify this someday (soon!) What I don't like is that by this ruling, if I charge, my turn ends and my free action (Swift Charge forex) occurs at the start of the next initiative creature's turn. But if I charge, then declare that I'm using my action point, can I use my...

Okay Charge Has me Confused ?

However, the PHB2 FAQ gives an example of a Barbarian using Swift Charge (a free action encounter power that allows you to charge when you drop an enemy to 0hp) after a charge.

Okay Charge Has me Confused ?

Correct, except that I'm not sure its really a double move since you are not using a move action twice, you are using a move action, then a charge action. But, Since a charge is a move, then a basic melee attack, I have always seen it played out as a double move for purposes of jumping distance...
