What's the matter with Rituals? I can see the problem with Magic Items and Skill Challenges, but I don't see what the issue with Rituals is. Well, beyond RAW making a +8 due to Aid Others practically an automatic by mid-Paragon.

That letter looks very similar to the one PP got. In fact, most of the PP letter probably is _exactly_ what is in that letter. There do seem to be some important differences that probably have been what triggered the controversy. 1. There is no mention of the DCMA in the Heroscapers letter...

How do you assign what conditions the monsters and PCs cause? I see how to assign conditions, but I don't see how it's a click away? Oh, and does anyone know if there is a way to have the program roll the attacks and damage dice?

I can't wait to find out what you did with the Tembo. I remember fondly my players freaking out when they got attacked by that in 2e.

I suspect it's one last gasp at trying to do this profitably before giving up the ghost.

Seriously? You're not going to see what the actual implementation of this is before writing it off? :erm: I mean, yes it does involve some sort of cards...that do have some sort of randomization to it. But you're comparing it to a game with thousands of cards, where you actually compete...

There's a ton of stuff that will still come through DDI. I think people actually underestimate now how much additional useful stuff (crunch certainly...less so on adventures) that we get through that. I was actually starting to get book fatigue anyways. I am disappointed to not see a DMG3...

I was under the impression that there were already going to be Dark Sun games being played at DDXP?

Hmmm...no AV3, no Draconomicon 3. I'm actually glad about those. Wish we'd see a Shadowfell and Feywild book though. And Mystara (but wishful thinking on that).

In the end, as much as I like the iPad, this is the way I'm likely to go, considering the price. I do have an iPhone, so that can handle my music/portable net stuff, and I'd use it mostly at home anyways...so I'd be watching TV on...TV. In a few years I'll probably get one, once the price...

Don't discount form factor. Which would you rather watch a movie on? A 13" CRT or a 50" HDTV? So it's not a Windows based machine. So it's not a MacBook. But it wasn't supposed to be. If you want those...those are already available. Some of us wanted something different.
