    No new adventures?

Ah...so it was more of a "This is some of what we're going to be releasing" rather than "This is all of what we're going to be releasing"

Gen Con: Slavicsek says core books will continue to be published, other tidbits

This. I was actually just thinking yesterday that they should get rid of the stat bonuses. It's only the PCs that it matters for, and they're already exceptional. But at the same time, go back to the 3-18 stat range. 18 used to be really impressive...amazing. I'd like to see it that way...

    No new adventures?

True, but WotC seemed to be turning a corner after seeing Tomb of Horrors. And I think we can forget about Paizo doing 4e adventures.

    Race Restriction House Rule?

I've found that a lot of the 'weird' races have gotten played, but in most cases, I've found it's because of trying to tie the race to the class. I'm becoming tempted on restricting my Eberron campaign to: Humans, Elves, Halfings, Half-Elves, Half-Orcs, Warforged, Shifters, Kalashtar...

    No new adventures?

I'm a bit surprised there are no new adventures announced except for the superadventure for next year...

Mordenkainen's Magical Emporium & magic items

Another cool consquence... You could make the Mark of Making more impressive if you allowed a character with that mark to make uncommon items. Would explain massively why House Cannith has such a monopoly over making magic items in Eberron. And another...perhaps this would kinda fix the...

Mordenkainen's Magical Emporium & magic items

Something else just occurred to me. This might allow the elimination of the 'Daily powers per day' restriction. As far as I can tell the main reason for this restriction is so you don't buy multiples of magic items so you can spam their Daily powers. But if they're uncommon, they can't GET...

Mordenkainen's Magical Emporium & magic items

Especially considering the philosophy of "Just say Yes." Personally I'm loving this idea. I'm guessing that the few 'common' items will be things like +4 magic swords, without the extra powers. Not to mention that this might have some effect on length of play...if the DM doesn't want as many...

Mordenkainen's Magical Emporium & magic items

That's one of the few books I didn't buy, although I assume those would be in the Compendium?

Shadowfell Box set coming in 2011! (an other GenCon announcements)

Can we either fork this to a new thread or stop? Because the conversation is definitely not about future D&D releases anymore.

Mordenkainen's Magical Emporium & magic items

The great things is that I directly challenged the WotC folks about 'cool' magic items, of a power level below that of Artifacts, but something better than the 'normal' magic items that we'd had so far: Whoops! Browser Settings Incompatible Here's what I said in the comments to that blog post...

Shadowfell Box set coming in 2011! (an other GenCon announcements)

Mind you, that was the 80s. Now with the Internet we'll have a detailed description of all the contents, with hi-res photos and video. :-)

    WotC is Listening

A sign of a good company: Find out what the customers want, then sell it to them.

Shadowfell Box set coming in 2011! (an other GenCon announcements)

There's just "something" about a boxed set too...I still have my Dawn of the Emperors, Hollow World and Wrath of the Immortals Boxed sets...love 'em.

Shadowfell Box set coming in 2011! (an other GenCon announcements)

This could be a chicken or the egg thing. Part of the reason I'm not running Epic is that I don't have a good feel how to. Which a DMG3 would help immensely with.

Shadowfell Box set coming in 2011! (an other GenCon announcements)

This simply, is awesome. Love it! They're continuing to fix the issues I have with 4e. Love it! No Monster Manual 4, but two Monster Vaults with tokens!?!? Love it! Might be interesting, but chances are, there are so many other great board games out there, including Castle Ravenloft by...

No buzz for the 2011 Campaign Setting?

Hadn't considered the earthmotes... Admittedly I haven't read The Plane Above, so there very well could be more Spelljammer in there that I didn't realize. But given the 'nostalgia' kick that WotC is going through right now with Essensitals, I'm starting to wonder if Greyhawk or Mystara might...

No buzz for the 2011 Campaign Setting?

Ravenloft perhaps, especially with DDI support in the Domains of Dread. However, Spelljammer has been introduced only in the aspect of having a ship that can plane shift. Practically nothing else of the setting is included in 4e yet...no phogiston, no crystal spheres, no giff, etc etc. I...

Do Premier Stores (U.S.) have Dark Sun Yet?

Oh, I know. I was just hoping that they'd gotten them early after the reports of some folks getting their books in the mail. Then again, some of the authors haven't gotten THEIR books yet...
