For the you sheet where you don't want to copy over the zeroes, what you can do is insert a column and number each row you are copying 1 through whatever. Then sort the whole thing by the column with the 0's in it and that will place all the rows with the 0s at the top or bottom. Then copy...

I'll second this statement. I was able to make a decent map in CC3 in about 20 minutes just following the 30-odd page Essentials guide you get with the program. While I know there is more that the program will do, it was nice to be up and running that quickly.

*plug* Second Rat Games' People Places and Things: You are Here has 29 modern maps and all are available in a 1" battlemat scale.

You can click on the hex grid button to set up the grid. Choose a grid size of 5. When you choose file Print, choose a scaling of .08333 feet paper distance (which arcanely is 1 inch) = 5 feet (Drawing Distance).

The only catch with the Generate Battlemaps is that it only prints the first 8.5x11 page. You need to select each page that way to print out the entire map.

It is not as obvious as it should be. What I do is print it to a PDF file using a scale of 1" in the scale section of the print box (I'm sorry I don't remember the exact terminology in the dialog box but you enter 1 in the box dealing with scale). Then once it finishes generating the PDF, I...

We (Second Rat Games) have People, Places, and Things out with 29 maps in it (which can also be printed out in battle map scale). They include: bank a small house cyber cafe office church bookstore bar restaurant cafe small buisness fast food joint parking garage and others.

I am a huge fan of the Warstore (http://www.thewarstore.com/). They have had amazing service each time I've used them and their prices are good as well. On The Miniatures Page I've never heard a bad thing said about the place and numerous great ones.

The template is probably the easiest way. I know that my host, Jatol.com, has them. Also you could go somewhere like Open Source Web Design, www.oswd.org, and get a template there. Fill in the text, create the link, upload, and you are done.

I'd like to add that Second Rat Games has a modern location book (People, Places, and Things: You are Here) that includes battlemaps for each of the 29 locations. Thanks.

I've always found the templates at the Open Source Web Design (www.oswd.org) to be very nice and easily convertible.
