    CC3 vs Dunjinni

If it somehow lessened the use of animated word features in PowerPoint, I would support that fee in a heartbeat.

    CC3 vs Dunjinni

I've just finished going through the tutorials for CC3 and I've used Dundjinni quite a bit. Here are my thoughts: 1. Obviously Dundjinni cannot do overland maps (there is the campaign pack but it appears to have problems and can only do close up maps). I was able to put together a very decent...

Is there a Power Word: Sleep spell somewhere?

Thanks for the great suggestions. I'll just swap PW Kill for PW Sleep using the 150 hp limit. With no Saving Throw, I should be able to capture the PC without too much effort (which has just now guranteed the PC will break free somehow and mess up my nicely planned adventure. :-) )

Is there a Power Word: Sleep spell somewhere?

For my next adventure, I need to capture a character as quickly and certainly as possible. Since everyone is 18th level I want to avoid saving throws. Power Word Kill is obviously a little to potent and Stun or Blind don't last long enough. So is there a Power Word Sleep anywhere or does anyone...

    Campaign Cartogrpaher 3

So can some explain to me how I actually order CC3 if I already own Dundjinni? I've scoured the website and see where it talks that I can order it, but nowhere can I find out how. Thanks. Edit: Nevermind, I see that it has moved from the 21st to the 23rd.

    Vitriolic Sphere (Complete Arcane) Question

In my opinion the poorly worded part is there is no reference to a save for the initial damage. If there was simply a sentence that said no save is allowed for the initial xd4 damage it would solve all of this. What threw me off was that I couldn't think of any area effect damage spell that...

    Vitriolic Sphere (Complete Arcane) Question

Mine was paraphrased from my player but the text is pretty much spot on. We decided at the table that the target was 11d4 (in this case) damage and could save to avoid the future damage. I believe that is how we will play it but I wanted to see if I was missing something obvious. Thanks for...

    Vitriolic Sphere (Complete Arcane) Question

That was how I originally read it, but everytime I re-read it, it seemed that all of the Saves dealt with the future round damage, not the initial damage. Of course, you know how it is when your are sitting at the game table and re-read the stupid spell description over and over. Each time you...

Here is the bulk of the text for the spell:

    Vitriolic Sphere (Complete Arcane) Question

I compared it to cone of cold and it seems slightly more powerful. The save text saying "Reflex negates and Reflex half; see text" is where all the problems lie, because the text only talks about saving to negate the round 2 and 3 damage and then if that fails a save for half damage can be made...

    Vitriolic Sphere (Complete Arcane) Question

Hello, So last night our resident sorcerer dropped this spell on some bad guys. We read it and read it and became confused on one point. The description of the spell says it does xd4 damage in a 10' radius. The affected target then makes a Reflex save. If they fail they take 6d4 next round and...

Looking to Scare the $#!+ Out of My Players

I was going to mention this but Crothian beat me to it. Seriously this book is amazing when it comes to setting tone. After reading it, I ran a modern game where the players played themselves and mysterious stuff started to happen. You could actually feel the tension in the air. And of course...

Should I Pick up Madden 2005?

Personally, I'd recommend NFL 2K5. First off, it is only $20. Second, the gameplay is just as good as Madden. Third I found a big gap in Madden between Novice and Pro. When playing Novice I would routinely score 70+ points and the computer would score at most a dozen. When I switch it to Pro the...

    DVR Help

If you are tech savy at all, you might consider building a MythTV box. Using KnoppMyth (a linux distro) you can easily install it on a PC, add a capture card and you should be good to go. The benefit here is no monthly cost and the ability to burn stuff to DVD easier. It does require tweaking...

G4 - Attack of the Show

For those of you missing The Screen Savers, most of the old crew (Leo, Patrick, Yoshi, etc.) have a podcast call This Week In Tech (TWIT). You can check it out at www.twit.tv. I like it and while they tend to roam in a very stream of consciousness form it is still great to listen to it. Plus...
