Another plug for the Axim. I've had mine about a year and I LOVE it.

    Dundjinni and licensing dispute?

Well the change is not the ideal one I had hoped for, but it is certainly one I can live with. I can now put maps I create with custom artwork into a book I want to sell.

    Dundjinni and licensing dispute?

My problem is that what they said in the forums and EULA do not match. I'm happy making my own art pack so I can create custom maps. Heck my maps are modern anyway do I'd have to do that. According to the EULA only a "non-business entity" can commercially sell maps created with Dundjinni and a...

    Dundjinni and licensing dispute?

I purchased Dundjinni, based on the information posted above with the intent to use custom art packs. I went ahead and pre-ordered to save a little cash. Imagine my surprise when I install the product and read the EULA that states (and I'm paraphrasing) the only commerical use allowed is by a...

    Dundjinni Demo Review

One thing that I was disappointed about was that if you want to publish your maps in a for sale product, you either have to come up with your own art tiles (i.e., you can't use all of the existing tiles) or pay Fluid some unknown license fee. I have a book in the works that I was going to use...

    Excel dice

You should be able to go under Tools - Options and turn Automatic Recalculation off. Then whenever you want the new rolls, you just press F9. Of course that does mean that no formulas will calculate until you press F9.

    New PDA: What to buy

I love my Dell Axim X5 Advanced. It has both a CF and SD slot, long lasting battery, and does more than I ever hoped it would. It is also noticeably cheaper than other comparable PDAs like the iPaq. With a CF GPS in it, I'm guided by satellite to wherever I wish to go, with a CF Wireless...

B5 Earth Alliance Factbook - How many people can you offend?

While I agree with the rest of your post, you might want to edit out the "right wing" part in your note. It basically makes it sound like you are making the same mistake the author did. Most "right wing" people do not think that the entire country of Ireland consists of terrorists, etc. It is...

    Recommendations for Web/Email Hosting

I strongly recommend Jatol.com. For only $30 a year you get 100meg, up to 10 mailboxes, spam filtering software, SQL, and 1 gig of bandwith per month. I switched my personal website and email to it and haven't been happier.

    Digital Camcorder question

Can't you just connect the camera to the outputs on your VCR and then press play on the VCR? It should appear on your Camcorder and they you can just hit record. At least that is how my Sony camcorder works.

A Sort Question for Excel Gurus

I'm not sure how you could do the first one, sorting across multiple sheets. Can't be done as far as I know. For you second question, you can choose Data-Sort... and sort it that way. Make sure to state that your selection does not have a header row, that is why the first row is not sorting.

Any 3.5 character generators out there?

If you have MS Excel, I've found HeroForge to be amazing. He just updated it to 3.5. http://home.san.rr.com/blackbart/main.html

WotC launches Avalon Hill organised play program

Unfortunately they can't. The rights to those games are an incredible quagmire. I don't remember who currently has the rights to it (at one time Microprose of all things did). I do know that a french company recently put out Civ and it is being carried by either Rio Grande Games or Eurogames...

Need help! Web design, CGI and simple forms

More than likely, your hosting service already has a script that will mail the form and parse it out. In the form tag you just enter that file name (post=cgiform.php or something like that). A really quick and dirty method that will email it but the results are ugly and it is a little clunky is...

MageKnight 3d Dungeon Tiles in D&D

Yeah, I understand about the time thing. My basic thoughts on the MK stuff is that their castle stuff is fantastic and fairly reasonably priced, but I just don't care for the dungeon stuff. Have you considered the cardstock options, like the stuff by Microtactix and WorldWorks? They are an...

MageKnight 3d Dungeon Tiles in D&D

Yeah, the Dwarven Forge stuff is beautiful but pricey. Everyone who I know who has bought them has said they felt they were worth the price, but it takes a lot of money. We do offer them for 20% off if that helps any. My main problem with the MK tiles is that you really only have enough for a...

[OT] Know a good webhosting company?

I use Jatol for my hosting. $30 for a year of service, 100mb of space and 1 gig of transfer. Has php and MySQL if you need that as well. I've been nothing but satisfied by them.

Dwarven Forge - Best Place to Buy from?

Oh yeah, Hirst Arts molds rock! I've got six of them. I had the wizards tower on display with my miniatures and a friend of mine looked at it and asked "How much did that set you back?" He was shocked when I told him I made it from the molds, he thought it was profesionally made piece.
