I like that build. effective, and makes for a great flavor, the cocky swordsman type that taunts his foes. The only problem i have, and it's not a problem really just opinion, I don't see brutal scoundrel as being as effective or cool (mechanic wise at least) as tempest technique.

On your note I think the thaneborn idea is cool. I wonder how a thaneborn barbarian/paladin would work. Healing with massive damage. Not to mention it would be good for a primitive type campaign, which I would love to run/play in.

You know there are still times when hybrid isn't better then multiclass. For instance, take a half-elf fighter multiclass wizard (scorching burst) with dilletante (scorching burst) and at paragon take the half-elf feat which gives you your dilletante power as an at will (i forget it's name)...

I haven't read the MM2 yet but I saw on another thread where people mentioned they changed the rules for making solos and elites in it so you might want to check that out.

I haven't had time to read this thread, just the first post, but I have a quick tip... you mentioned maybe having your players make new characters, which we tried but everyone just made new strikers, why not have them just remake thier characters as hybrids with the new expanded hybrid rules...

Your right, it's not likely that they would pick another encounter power over it... because if they met all those prereqs they most likely built the character just for that power. Your also right Fighters (and so on) can get 15 dex from the start, but hardly any of them will. This power...
