OOC: Should we NPC Devlin for a round?

I think that would be the best way, at least until we find out if they plan to attack (or we do) first round....

*Wryy'ethh knows an ambush party when he sees one, but he hopes someone will stall for a bit of time while the warriors prepare themselves.* OOC: Activate Battlemind, taking 10 for a 21

*Wryy'ethh turns to face behind the group, his saber springing to life.* "Rooooon wryyyy arrhh! Siiiirah wrooon!" Shryi:

*Wryy'ethh sits silently, doing his best to be non-threatening, but prepared to be suddenly violent, if need be.*

*Kelthet shrugs, unconcerned. We will be there eventually. He mentally reviews his own spells, and settles in to rest until it is time to move.*

*Tyralis nods at Sargon's suggestion, and splits off in the other direction, his bow drawn and an arrow nocked.*

OOC: And Sri was going to start something if you didn't anyway, as evinced by comments like "One last try" ;) Don't count him out - with only 1.5 opponents left, I think he'll be okay.

*Al-Khazad grins.* "Wild Ride is not bad at all. Any one else have suggestions? It's as much your shipas it is mine, after what it took to recover it...."

*Sri snarls at the attackers.* "You dumb bastards. You could have walked away. You should have. Now they'll bury you." *He drops to a kneeling position, and his fingers twitch quickly, squeezing performance from the custom rifle. The weapon isn't typically used in such close quarters, but...

*Wryy'ethh shrugs, still glancing over his shoulder, and points down the left passage as well.*

*Sri will take the aforementioned actions. I'm hoping he can pull of rolling off the stool as a 5' step, and then draw and fire his weapon at the one holding the gun to him. If not, he rolls off the stool and moves to the nearest piece of cover he can find w/i reach, and readies his rifle.*

*Al-Khazad grins widely.* "It certainly seems so. We have a ship, seaworthy save for sails and ropes and various inconviences. If only we had a crew to outfit her, and sail her away, we would be well on our way...." *He winks* "Anyone interested in that job?"

*Wryy'ethh shrugs, and follows the group, content to take up the rear position. He glances over his shoulder very regularly as they return down the passage.*

*Wryy'ethh starts to speak, but thinks better ofi it, and rather types something out on his datapad, which he shows to Cai and the others.* ~They might sneak up on us if we leave them here. If we don't deal with them now, we must keep them in mind, and consider them to be behind us.~

*Depending on Devlin's actions, Sri will either interject comments as appropriate (Aid Another w/Intim, +1), or, more likely, take the action he's been considering since this thing started - rolling off the stool to his right, trusting in surprise, combined with his blast vest, to carry him...

*Tyralis nods.* "I'd be willing to bet they're in those caves, nasty buggers. Is there any history of Kobold activity around? A warren nearby, anything like that?"

*Sri gives it one last try.* "Our squad is in the city. They're likely on their way here. If you shoot us, it's going to be quickly obvious who did it, and there's going to be an armed response. They may not even care what happened, and simply send a detachment of troops to wipe this city...

*Tyralis clambers quickly up the tree to look for himself, and presumably comes to the same conclusion.* "Kobolds. Dirty, stinking, cowardly kobolds. No wonder - are there any caverns or cave systems around this area, Fluke?"

*Tyralis kicks in and helps too. ;)*
