Star Trek - The Ghost Planet

Thanks for this! I ran a brief S&S 2e game earlier in the year and might revisit that in future - the outline and general flow of events would be an awesome timesaver if I start that back up again.

Wonder Woman short film garners 3.5 million views in a week

It looks like they're trying to sell it as a sequel to 300 with all the pseudo-sepia tone and random slow mo. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, mind. I'd watch it.

    Favorite D&D Class?

Illusionist, back when they were their own class. Runner up are druids, ideally in their 1st or 2nd ed incarnations.

That's still on the air? Wow.

Horror or Hell? Dracula or Lucifer? Ravenloft or Dante's Inferno?

Honestly neither, as I've seen treatments of both to varying degrees of good and/or useful; though of the two, if I saw the book on the shelf, I'd pick the 'Dante' book up and leave the other one on the shelf unless something particularly stood out. Doing a trip to hell is difficult to pull off...

    Favorite D&D Retroclone?

Definitely Swords & Wizardry complete - very modular, no race as class (while allowing that as a plug in for those who like it IMO), and old school multiclassing without an abundance of rules. It's flexible that I can do what I like with it, and it's broadly compatible with most everything...

D&D 4E What I miss about 4e (my preferences of course)

Hopefully this won't give you a reason to stop playing 4e, regardless of how your Next experience plays out. Everyone should be able to play what they like.

Pathfinder 1E What books/devices do you take to GM your Pathfinder sessions?

When I broke the seal and ran a pathfinder session last weekend, I consulted the pfsrd from my laptop and used the plot twist and condition cards. That's it.

Bruce Heard + Mystara + Kickstarter [Hypothetical + Cross Post]

Very interested in any work you do, be it Mystara, Mystara-inspired, or brand new. I love your take on things.

You think this looks like a fun adventure?

Oh yeah. Sounds like a great way to start a campaign to me.

    What is a "gish"?

To me, it's a Smashing Pumpkins album. I've never encountered the term anywhere but the internets.

What's your favourite version or variation of D&D?

Diffferent tools for different wants and such. I like many versions for different things. All things considered? Swords & Wizardry Complete. "Official" version of D&D? BECMI. Favorite variant of the above? DCC RPG.

D&D 4E Which 4E adventures did you play?

I got a decent mini-campaign out of the Hammerfast book, liberally tossing in large parts of the Sunless Citadel and bits from the Forge of Fury. Pity it ended so soon.

How Much of D&D is the Rules?

I would think - at most - 50%. At least for me. I wonder if those who began or prefer playing newer editions feel the same.

D&D 5E (2014) Final playtest packet due in mid September.

I agree that the play test has largely run it's course in that it (the play test) has gone on long enough for those involved to be decided on whether or not they are interested in making the actual purchase when it comes out. Carrying on the playtest any longer seems more likely to erode the...

    Are we fair to WotC?

Perfectly stated. When wotc puts out something I want, then I'll purchase. Not until. Same as any company, anywhere.

D&D 3.x Which DnD3E 'Premium' reprint would you like to see next?

The only 3-era reprint I'd really like to see is Lords of Madness. Though I'll second the Rules Cyclopedia request. :)
