Touch of Healing - How does it work?

Usually not. I was very cautious at first to allow it but even in campaigns where healing is pretty rare (and wands of CLW are not easily bought) it wasn't too strong. As our fighter said: At half hitpoints you're half dead. Edit: The penguin won initiative!

    Warblade builds

For fun, laughter and efficiency, I'd go Warblade1/bard4 with Song of the White Raven. Get some of the usual Inspire Courage boosters and take care you have enough hitpoints... You can play an extremely efficient archer with that build or a very good polearm fighter... I've even saw TWF builds...

Happiness.... so sought for and still people run away from it.

Is there a way to sneak-attack creatures immune to crits?

Precise Strike[General] (DR310 p69) Prerequisites: Sneak Attack class ability, Dexterity 13. When making a Sneak Attack, you may reduce the number of Sneak Attack dice that will apply to damage in exchange for a +2 Competence bonus to hit per die sacrificed. Note: The bonus to attack & reduction...

Would you allow Diplomacy the ability to insult as well as negotiate?

Looks like it never occured to us to find a way to make even more enemies than we already had :p

    Ultimate self-sufficiant char.

Yes, the class seems to be made for BBEGs.

    D&D 3.x The problems with 3.5?

No XP penalties if he's human or half-elf since duelist is a prestige class and fighter as his highest class does not count.

    Favored Enemy hypothetical

Or change it to something similar to sneak attack.

Would you allow Diplomacy the ability to insult as well as negotiate?

Ahhh, the ancient art of insulting someone... not exactly a German specialty.

    D&D 3.x The problems with 3.5?

Seconded. Being a specialist will get you killed in my campaigns. And yes, the players know that.

Is there a way to sneak-attack creatures immune to crits?

ranger/scout Swift Hunter can apply precision based damage to his favored enemies... so if you don't mind a bit multiclassing?

    The Throne Room

Hallow for a paladin king would be a real good idea. Tie darkness to it :D

    Skirmish and dual strike/manyshot

Get that Swift Avenger feat from Dragon for multiclassed druid/scouts... it's in Crystalkeep too. It increases your skirmish damage and your wild shape uses per day.

That's soooo not on topic ;) ... and maybe the reason why noone mentioned crusader yet.

    Ranger for New Player

I can't imagine a cool DM that allows a scout to use his skirmish damage if he was being moved by someone else, especially including spells. And the ToB goodies lower his skirmish damage. GrManyshot though... I do have a Swift Hunter hobgoblin in my group right now and he's doing the damaging...

    Stupid question...

Swashbucklers add Int mod to damage. If you want to go the swashbuckling route, get Daring Outlaw for full sneak attack damage for a multiclassed Swashbuckling rogue. Add some of the alternate Swashbuckling class features, you'll do fine. I had such a TWF dude in my group...

    Vertical cone area of effect

Well. A cone is a cone. Literally. So you are right. At least I've always did it that way.
