That might cause a little problem... Fine, the TWF barbarian scout dishes out a really nice skirmish damage load with said charge, but afterwards you are in full attack range for the often not so dead monster... I would rather pick Spring attack for said bbn scout and concentrate on getting out...

Considering the possibilities D&D offers with it's combat and spell rules, I say it's actually rules light. I know several systems with nearly as many rules and not half as many options (with respective rules) during gameplay.

Ok, here's what you need: Halfling with Xbow Sniper, maxxed Dex boosters, a good cleric friend to buy Grace potions from (Dex +10), two reloading HandXbows with either - a generous DM who allows you to reload them as a free action with the Rapid Reload feat or - enchant them to be reloading...

My favorite RBDM trick? Listen to them. When they are really scared and the discussion runs hot what next evil trick awaits them... Enjoy the ideas, enhance them, exagerate them .... disguise them and use them. The players will be shocked and motivated because they "have been soooo close!".

I'd vote for Scout3/RangerX with Swift Hunter. Perhaps take one or two more Scout levels for bonus feats and Evasion. Improved Skirmish will let you do devastating damage, but the build is feat starved and can hardly afford all the necessary TWF feats... so Power Attack and a twohanded weapon is...

Nonono, but his Cha mod to my saves (oops, I think this doesn't actually work) and the share spells with his Improved Invisibility are pretty interesting.

You need to play a scout/ranger Swift Hunter with Greater Manyshot, Combat Reflexes and Holf the Line and some free action thing to hide the bow and use a polearm ;) As a DM, I never used to so many charge actions against a single PC... he tumbles away all the time for 40 feet or more...
