Grand List of iPhone Apps for D&D Gaming

Will these work on the new tablet coming out? I'm kidding. I make the mistake of following MacRumors.

Did Anyone play the new WHFRPG?

Another good thread was started on WHFRPG: http://www.enworld.org/forum/general-rpg-discussion/262977-wfrp-d-d-3rd-edition-full-gen-con-seminar-movie-dice-mechanic-character-sheet.html

And don't judge until you roll the dice and give it at least one session. I'm not overly excited about the new system, but I will give FF a chance and at least play it before I judge. I'm cheap so I will probably play somebody else's copy. :)

Did Anyone play the new WHFRPG?

These days I would go with simplicity over Rolemaster any day. Rolemaster was wonderful back in the day, when I had a lot of free time. I hope that WHFRPG turns out great. It seems to be oriented towards bringing the kids in. This is much harder than it seems. I have an 18 yr. old son. He is...

Thanks for sharing, those were great.

Did Anyone play the new WHFRPG?

The bottom half of the Trollslayer does look terrible. At first glance I would say Talisman also, but until I have rolled the dice, I won't make any final judgments. BTW Talisman was awesome. One of the guys in my group still has it and keeps wanting to play it. Maybe this is the basic set, to...

    Any Star Wars RPG news?

I have to agree with this, but I'm an old guy and dislike the new movies, they had no heart. That's the best way that I can describe it.

Did Anyone play the new WHFRPG?

Sounds like an excellent approach. My local store should have an open box copy for free play. My group will be spending an afternoon there to give it a try. Anybody know when it's coming out?

Did Anyone play the new WHFRPG?

I guess, that years later, I am still reeling from Dragonlance SAGA edition. I actually bought a couple of the products, and still have them if anyone wants to buy the.:) FF will do a better job, I am confident. I own several of their board games, but none of their RPGs. A couple of things...

Did Anyone play the new WHFRPG?

I'm not going to buy it until I play it at the local Brick and Mortar. I'm kinda on the fence about this. Fantasy Flight has put out some outstanding products, but it doesn't sound like an RPG.

Did Anyone play the new WHFRPG?

I had heard that FF was going to have the game at Gencon. The idea of a boardgame/rpg WHF kinda makes me shudder, but I will reserve judgment until I actually see it in play.

    It's Dark Sun

It's been over ten years since I've run DS, so please give me a break here. I can't remember the name of tower that mutates, but that would be an easy way out for the races that aren't typical for DS. You are a Dragonborn and the only of your kind that has been mutated, or you are from the one...

What game system have you tried that made you go WOW!

Haven't read the whole post, but: Shadowrun was my first OMG. More recently Swashbucklers of the Seven Skies.

    Assassin Preview at Gencon

Theoretically PHB3 should be ramping up to Dark Sun. Psionic classes for DS. I would image they will need more primal classes for DS and possibly another divine. I was very impressed with the psion and the assassin. I have found both to be very creative. The developers have impressed me more...

So, what is "4th Edition's Tomb of Horrors"?

It was 3e, my first conversion as soon it came out, not 3.5. I actually liked 3e. I diverge. Barrier Peaks will probably never happen. I would hate to see my party's Ranger with a laser. :-S If this version of TOH is like past versions, the party's trapfinder is going to be kept very busy...

So, what is "4th Edition's Tomb of Horrors"?

Beyond the Mirror wasn't terribly creative, but wasn't your typical delve and was very memorable. I redid White Plume for 3e and my players loved it. None of them had played it before, most started with 2e. Land Beyond the Magic Mirror is practically the anithesis of creativity (mainly because...

    It's Dark Sun

Very happy with this. :) It has been many years since I've Dark Sunned. I didn't like the revised boxed set much, and quit running it. Defiling will be easy to do. It drains HP from allies. My players HATE it when a fellow player hits them with area attack that damages them. You wouldn't last...

So, what is "4th Edition's Tomb of Horrors"?

Ahh Fond Memories I made it through Tomb a couple of times, but we used the infamous pig on a stick and had to go back to town every time the pig died. I don't know why we didn't buy multiple pigs? We also bought a cart to haul all our booty. I would much rather see White Plume Mountain...
