    Substitute feat for dodge

I could have sworn I saw a feat that could be used in the place of Dodge to qualify for other feats, PrCs, etc. Now I can't find it. :( Any help? How many other feats are there out there that can replace core feats to meet prerequisites?

Point Buy Variant: Level Adjustment Variant

House rule from the current "Design & Development" article: Stephen “Shoe” Schubert, Developer It’s You, Not Your Gear: Treasure is reduced 10-15% and permanent ability score boosting items are banned. Instead, characters get a stat increase at every even level (instead of every four levels)...

    Draconic Warlock

Breath Invocations How about the following: Breath Invocations Dragon's Breath Least;1st You can belch forth a gout of damaging energy, corresponding to the breath weapon of your draconic progenitor, at an adjacent target. The type of energy damage is chosen when this ability is first...

    Draconic Warlock

Energy Resistance: should be to one type of energy, corresponding to the character's dragon ancestry. I think 5/10/15/20 at levels 5/10/15/20 is a reasonable progression (that could be continued into Epic levels.) Damage Reduction: -/magic at the same levels as the Warlock (3/7/11/15/19)...

Feats for the Druid & Ranger - Please Critique

In order to maintain balance (pun intentional--- we're talking Druids here,) I'd suggest that the Wildshape feats be modified to allow only creatures of one size less than the maximum available to the Druid utilizing the ability.

    Draconic Warlock

"Draconic Skin": The dragonskin spell from the Draconomicon lasts 10 minutes per level, and provides both natural armor and DR vs. one energy type. It also caps out at a +5 bonus, like Barkskin. So my feeling is that by comparison your Draconic Skin ability has too short a duration and grants...

    Draconic Warlock

This is a neat idea. I'm surprised, though, that you haven't started off by trying to emulate the Eldritch Blast power as some sort of quasi-breath weapon. (I say "quasi-breath weapon" because I suppose it would have to remain a ray/ranged touch attack for balance purposes.) The Blast...

    Thibbledorf Pwent - "official stats"?

I found the Battlerager prestige class in Races of Faerun, along with an entry for "spiked helmet" in the equipment appendix. The spiked helmet does 1-3 damage, x2 on a charge, with 0 reach. The damage and the size of the spike in the accompanying illustration fall short of what I had in mind...

    Thibbledorf Pwent - "official stats"?

Has anyone come across "official" stats for Thibbledorf Pwent, the quintessential Battlerager from the Drizzt books? I'm interested particularly in how his armor and helmet spike are characterized, and what feats are used to emulate his unique fighting style. Thanks!

    Advice sought: PDF Editor software

I downloaded the free trial version of JAWS PDF Editor and played with it during the evaluation period, and now I'm hooked. (Imagine extracting only the pages you want from 15 or 20 different sourcebooks to a single PDF!) I'm considering coughing up the cash to purchase the software, but...

Can a Druid use "Monster" Feats?

Can a Druid take the Improved Natural Armor and Improved Natural Weapon feats and benefit from them while in wildshape? I'm assuming a human druid who would only meet the prerequisites for these feats while using wildshape to assume an appropriate form.

Do you have any Gliding rules?

It looks like it was nixed for 3.5, but the 3.0 psionics rules had a power called glide: Glide Psychoportation (Dex) Level: Psion 2 Display: Vi Manifestation Time: 1 action Range: Touch Target: Creature touched Duration: 1 minute/level Saving Throw: None Power Resistance: Yes (harmless) Power...

Thank you, I suspected as much, but my common sense was objecting a bit.

    The Vampyr-with illustrations, age categories, a PrC, & a half-vampyr template!!!

Level Adjustment +2 it will be. Course I don't mind--- I appreciate the assistance. The half-vampyr is only immune to the special attacks of the undead. I pick whats behind door #2. The half-vampyr's quasi-living, psuedo-undead state protects it against the life-draining and...

    Spiked Gauntlets

If a character has Weapon Focus (Unarmed Strike), does he receive the +1 to his attack rolls when wearing a spiked gauntlet? If the character is a fighter with Weapon Specialization (Unarmed Strike), can he apply the damage bonus if wearing spiked gauntlets?

    Spiked Gauntlets

Gauntlets allow a character to do lethal damage with unarmed strikes. An attack with a spiked gauntlet is an armed attack. Does this mean that Weapon Focus (unarmed strike) would apply to an attack with a gauntlet, but not a spiked gauntlet? Or is it just that a character attacking with a...

    The Vampyr-with illustrations, age categories, a PrC, & a half-vampyr template!!!

Since its my thread, I think it would be alright if I 'plugged your stuff'. So here is my recommendation that everyone check out Andrew's website, the World of Dendain. The monster section is especially nifty.

    The Vampyr-with illustrations, age categories, a PrC, & a half-vampyr template!!!

Thanks, Andrew. I actually wrote a paper in college on the origins of our current ideas about vampires. Obviously, literature--- and more recently other mass media, movies, television, comics, etc.--- has shaped our popular conception of the creature. But I think its really interesting to...

    The Vampyr-with illustrations, age categories, a PrC, & a half-vampyr template!!!

Your explanation makes sense, and fits in with the monster writeups I took a look at for examples. You know your stuff. Excellent suggestion, and I see your point. How about 'Immunities (Ex): The half-vampyr is immune to disease, death effects, paralysis, sleep effects, and to the ability...

    The Vampyr-with illustrations, age categories, a PrC, & a half-vampyr template!!!

Thanks. Makes sense. Ummm... Actually, thats what I meant it to say. I can't believe I missed that one. Glad you caught it. I was really uncertain about this one... What is the general case in which one would add 'augmented' before the creature type when applying a template? What...
