    D&D Goes International

Just a quick note to say this is one of the coolest threads I've seen. I'm in Ohio, and I can't type anymore because the cow wants to surf the web.

    Free Wiki Hosting?

I guess I should have specified the ability to have a Private wiki, which many of the "free" sites do not (since they work off of advertising).

    Free Wiki Hosting?

Anyone know of a good free Wiki host? Something with more features than PBWiki? Thanks!

    Game session on film?

As long as you could edit out our blood sacrifices and ritual cannibalism, sure. :uhoh:

Getting Busy Adults Together to Play Games

Good idea for board games, not so good for RPGs. If too much time goes by between sessions, most people find it hard to get back in the groove.

    What are you reading now?

Buring Wheel Revised. Amazing game. Will help me better GM damn near anything.

What are you going to buy next?

Just bought DMG II (Great book; not even sure I'll be DMing d20 anytime soon), Burning Wheel, and look forward to buying Sean Patrick Fannon's Player's Guide to Shaintar at Origins. http://www.shaintar.info/

How do you determine a "Real Bad Dungeon Master"

On Railroading Friend of mine pointed out the other day why GMs railroad: They don't trust their players. Really, with few exceptions, it comes down to that. Unless your group consists of people who will do anything to screw over the GM, they will likely follow your adventure/plot/whatever if...

    Besm or Besm d20?

Let me clarify That said, I wasn't interested in BESM until the d20 version came out. I bought it, went, "Man, this is complicated," bought the original, and said, "Wow, that's cool." I understand why GOO did it, but smashing two rulesets together does not make for great mechanics. The...

    Besm or Besm d20?

The original, hands down. The d20 version takes d20, folds, spindles, and mutilates it into some frankenstein hybrid that roams the countryside attacking villagers and crushing dice. :D

It's hard being an adult gamer

Once a week, with few exceptions. Saturdays, noon until 4-6 PM. Ages range from 24 to 43. We all love it, and do our best not to skip unless we have to.

    AARRRGGH!! (Random gaming observation)

Damn. Now I have to take that Complete Guide to Dick Jokes for d20 back to the store.

Who would you probe first & why.

Same answer I would give for many similar questions. The one with the biggest t@#s. :]

How will guns change a D&D world?

A variation on the spell, "Protection from Arrows" would become the most valuable spell in the world. ;)

    Lesser Known Movies Worth Seeing

Circle of Iron. Recently came out on DVD. It is a film about Zen that Bruce Lee wanted to make, and I think wrote the story. Very obscure, very cool, IMHO. Six-String Samurai Near Dark - best vampire movie ever made

How Do You Create a Cohesive Group Dynamic?

To tell the truth, I insist on it before the campaign begins. If someone finds this "stifiling", and insists on playing the lone wolf, destructive character, then they can go do it somewhere else. There's nothing worse at the table than a frustrated novelist with an axe to grind ;)

    The Problem with Adventuring Parties

All good thoughts, and I knew people would bring up exceptions, but when you break it down, there are very few movies where a group of characters walk everywhere together, fight the same things at the same time, etc. And a lot of those increase the tension by killing a few off and leaving the...

    The Problem with Adventuring Parties

So I'm on the Unknown Armies site, wanting to know more about the game. I download and read two short stories. They are very cool. But then I get to thinking, how cool would the story be with a group of 5 people as the hero instead of just one? Most movies, stories, etc. by and large have one...
