Cleric Love Domain (v2, updated 4/22/16)

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked it. And, yes, tough love is exactly what I asked for. I've taken a lot of your advice for a future revision. I'll post it soon, once I get more of the details worked out. Edit: Version 2 is up.

    Cleric Sea Domain

This is the sea domain I cooked up for my blog. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Sea Domain While the tempest domain represents the power of the thundering Stormcaller and Lord of the Sky, the sea domain embodies the might of the crashing, whirling sea. Sailors and merchants often...

Cleric Love Domain (v2, updated 4/22/16)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Love Domain v2 (4/22/16) Nearly every pantheon has a god or a goddess devoted to the concept of love. Examples include Aphrodite, Freya, Hathor, and Sune. Like their divine patron’s clerics of the love domain are often torn between the desire to find...

    Thaneborn Barbarians

I know a few people have gotten ahold of PHBIIs. Mine wont come till Wednesday, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the thaneborn barbarian build. Cheers, Ian

Martial Power is ruining my life!

XD I'm going through the same thing. I'm trying not to let myself TPK if I can help it, but if the PCs do something stupid (and they might next session) I wouldn't exactly mind having us all roll up new characters ; ) Hm...I'm not even sure if the other DM in out group would even allow anything...

    Whisper skill check

I usually give me PCs two choices for skill checks. For this instance, Bluff vs. Insight or Stealth vs. Perception. Honestly, the best way to handle these sorts of things to have the PC try to justify whatever skill check they want to use. I find it adds to roleplaying scenes.

    D&D 4E Stuff I wish they'd have left from the 4e playtest

But you would have to keep switching between opponents every round. I mean tie one up with Divine Challenge and keep another at bay with melee attacks.

    D&D 4E Stuff I wish they'd have left from the 4e playtest

It would be cool if they left it so that the Paladin could use Divine Challenge on one opponent and attack another; I could see that helping paladin's out quite a bit.

    Balanced & Optimised or Not?

Well, the thing about optimization is, you have to be optimized for something. If you're optimized to deal damage, odds are you'll be lacking in something else. If your worried a PC , or set of PCs, has overoptimized beyond of the rest of the group, throw different situations at the party so...

Act of evil? Or just taking out the trash?

Alignment doesn't really matter, at all. And in all honesty, he sounds pretty unaligned, rather than evil or lawful good, to me.

    Furious Smash - Damage Question

The "weapon" keyword indicates that you do, indeed, add all of those additional damage modifiers, such as weapon focus and weapon enhancements.

    Rain of Blows

Rain of Blows with a longspear is pretty good. It even makes a shortsword worth wielding, which I think is a GOOD thing.

D&D 4E Forked Thread: 4e And 4th Wall, was multiclassing - is Arcane Initiate too powerful?

Well, 4th Edition was intended to get rid of a lot of the simulationism presented in previous editions. I don't see this as a problem, because the whole point was to sack the simulationism and get on with the game. However, this may not be your cup of tea. So instead of trying to search the...

    eDragon: Starlock feats and powers

Well, I'm just making the following changes and calling it good: Sacrifice to Caiphon Prerequisites: Con 13, Eldritch Pact This way, you can't take this feat through multiclassing. I'm thinking about upping the Con requirement to 15. Starfire Womb Prerequisites: Cha 13, Eldritch Pact Again...

    Comparisions between classes

I wouldn't quite say that. I've been throwing full on encounters at my party without a leader and they've been handling them just fine. Although the Protecting Paladin does provide some in-combat healing. The party composition is: Half-Elf Protecting Paladin Dragonborn Guardian Fighter...

Divine Challenge + Certain Justice = Solo Killer?

Well, , the monster could always attack some one else, taking damage from divine challenge and be no longer marked by the paladin. ...but I may be missing something.

    Warlock, which pact is best?

I favor the fay pact. Although it doesn't deal as much damage as the other, mobility is great and you can act as a single-target controller at high levels.

    A fix for Sure Strike

Move actions should be used for nothing but movement. Period. Unless it involved controlling pets, but even that I would disagree with. Why? Because movement is what makes tactical combat interesting. There would be very few times, if you had careful strike and were using a daily or encounter...
