Oh, got it. All shifting does is not provoke OAs. Shifting is still movement, so a shifting target will get boomed. That was totally Busch league of me.

I don't have the file in front of me, so I may not get the details totally correct, but here's my question: Booming Blade causes extra damage if the target 'moves away.' Does shifting count as moving away? The basic rules are that shifting is different than moving. But if one can just shift...

One thing that reigns in the swordmage powers is that many of them (don't have the doc handy for reference) do set damage (like 1d6 + INT) instead of some multiple of [W]. His powers may be flashy, but they don't deal as much damage. So much for that two-hander now...

Amazon is showing a different cover for 'Martial Power' than was originally advertised. I liked the original cover better, but since it had a dwarf on it, I wondered if they thought it was too similar to the FRPG? (Of course, now I can't find the old cover.) Oh well, I hope they end up...

Read again... Ranger powers require a 'ranged weapon,' not specifically a bow. Heavy and light throwns are ranged weapons, too.
