    Whisper Gnomes

Sometimes it's nice to see more than 60 ft out. Low-light will almost always let you see farther. Also, if there are light sources in the distance, like an enemy group with torches, the low-light will make the "aura of visibility" created by those distant light sources doubled to you...

Pathfinder 1E A guide to sorcerers

Multiplying by 1.5 works better for damages like 5d4+5 or 7d6. If it's just an even amount of dice, multiplying the dice themslves by 1.5 works fine and is the "fairest" way to do it. More dice rolled to pull towards average result, rolling less and multiplying creates greater chances of the...

So once again...how are you doing this at level 7?

D&D 3.x best thing to fill the vest slot 3.5

If you cannot afford the 40,000 gp for ring of freedom of movement, the Vest of Free Movement from MIC is quite nice. It's 12,000 gp and lets you 3/day as a swift action gain freedom of movement for 3 rounds each time. A great panic button if grappled.

    Grappling with a Spiked Chain

I'm just gonna leave this here. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=QL-JDO8paG8#t=1978s Yeah, it's a kusarigama, not a spiked chain, but they're similar weapons, both with long chains. Whole episode and show is great, but relevant bit is from 33:00 - 34:50 (video should...

Pathfinder 1E A guide to sorcerers

Buying a lesser maximize rod at level 7...or any level, really, is flipping stupid. It costs WAAAAAAAY too much! Spending magical lineage and/or Wayang Spell...whatever traits on fireball is also stupid. I love it, it's iconic. But it's a HORRIBLE spell. If you *were* going to go this...

    (pure) scout builds

You're right, Dandu. I should just keep it simple and make a core Druid 20. Way more balanced.

D&D 3.x I need ideas to pimp my 3.5 Rogue.

It has a lot of feat requirements, but if you happen to have them all, Dervish PrC from C.Warrior is a decent class and is one of the rare full BAB classes that gets a good will save progression. Hexblade or Paladin dip would also help saves if you have a good charisma, though I doubt it's very...

    (pure) scout builds

If you do no more than 4 levels of scout, you'll only lose 1 BAB and Greater manyshot is more viable. But there are SO MANY ways to move 10 ft and still full attack out there in the books, and Rapid Shot is SO plainly superior to Greater Manyshot, I still don't see why it should be the...

    (pure) scout builds

I disagree, Dandu. I think the Manyshot chain is a trap for Scouts. They lack the BAB to get many shots off, and the attack penalties are crippling to their medium BAB. I'd try at all costs to find a way to move 10+ ft without losing your full round action / full attack and rapid shotting...

    (pure) scout builds

Single classed scout is a very weak class, it benefits tremendously from multiclassing. Namely, with Ranger and the Swift Hunter feat. Possibly w/ a cloistered cleric dip and Travel Devotion feat, too, but that isn't strictly necessary. It just REALLY helps... 3E's multiclassing system is...

Pathfinder 1E The dex-based fighter, how does he fare?

But PF is littered with punishments for choosing inferior options. The human sorcerer favored class thing is WAAAY worse than this. Ditto for Half-Elf Summoner's FC option. And seriously, what class? Even in my case, wanting to be a small, dextrous melee alchemist... if I had known when...

Pathfinder 1E The dex-based fighter, how does he fare?

That's a much more drastic difference and is basically hyperbole. And how much is human's "free bonus feat" worth? Since most feats just plain aren't available as items, I'd say the only true answer to that is "priceless." Judging things by market price is kind of silly anyway. Int +2 item...

    Pathfinder 1E Wildshaping help

Actually, if you read the Elemental Body spells, you'll see that size does not matter for them. You get the ability score (and natural armor) adjustments listed for that particular spell regardless of which size elemental you assume.

Pathfinder 1E The dex-based fighter, how does he fare?

Goblin also has a net +0 bonus to scores instead of a +2 like most. It's definitely a great race, but I don't think it's broken. Spellcasters are still much better served picking a race that boosts their casting stat, archers are better off being medium for the damage boost (from damage die...

    That's a Wood Elf?

I like Warhammer Wood Elves and think that is how elves should be portrayed. So yeah, Wood and Wild Elf should just both fall under the same umbrella of "Wood Elf," IMO. (The Elf and Eladrin distinction was one thing I liked about 4E.)

Pathfinder 1E The dex-based fighter, how does he fare?

Do you mean specifically the fighter class, or more generic? For a Fighter, dex-based is doomed to suck. I am currently playing a Vivisectionist Beastmorph Alchemist, however, and he kicks ass quite well. He's a goblin, has dex 24 at level 6 currently, and has an Agile amulet of mighty fists...

Why isn't Waking up in different clothes a creepy thing?

Yeah, Austin Powers was the one I thought of for "it wasn't treated like a big deal." I mean, they don't even bring it up, Dr. Evil does. Of course, after movie #2 , Vanessa not freaking out at all makes sense since she's a Fembot, apparently

    D&D 3.x gunslinger 3.75 vs ranger 3.5 who's the best gunner?

The rule where guns get to go, "haha, full attack touch AC all day long, mother-****ers!" Or the thing where "scatter" weapons shoot a whole bunch of times in a freaking cone and it only misses if all shots miss. Or the thing where the rate of fire of the guns was made drastically different...

Pathfinder 1E Polymorph power gaming squashed.

Magic - Pathfinder_OGC "You can only be affected by one polymorph spell at a time. If a new polymorph spell is cast on you (or you activate a polymorph effect, such as wild shape), you can decide whether or not to allow it to affect you, taking the place of the old spell." Does that about...
