    Tanky Cleric Options

Antagonize used to require the victim to come engage you in melee. Now they can just use a spell that has you in the area, or launch ranged attacks at you (which could be as simple as picking a rock or stick (club) off the ground and throwing it at you, if they lack other options). You're...

    Tanky Cleric Options

If you're doing Healing domain, at least take Restoration subdomain. The power it grants is FAR more useful. Do not take Selective Healing, you should not be using Channelling in combat much if at all by level 7, it's just not that significant. I'm not familiar with touch of healing...

    Tanky Cleric Options

Healing isn't terribly important. You need some emergency healing and a CLW wand for out of combat. That is all the healing any group needs. The faster the enemies die, the less healing you'll need as they weren't around to hurt you longer. (If the DM sees a high-offense party killing foes...

Preferred loadout for a fire-themed evoker?

You should pick up Dazing Spell. Turns blast spells into control spells w/ the daze effect attached. Works best on ones that use reflex saves (if the spell has no save, like scorching ray, it uses will) since reflex is typically the only save that DOESN'T get "save or lose" options. Until you...

    Iron Bands of Bilarro

Ogre Mage has magical, non-winged, flight with good maneuverability. So whether or not it can still fly, it can certainly hover in place wherever it was in the air when you hit it with the bands. I don't think it could fly while paralyzed, though. Even magical flight still isn't a purely...

    Building a Str based Magus

Get the Familiar at level 3. Best choice s Compsognathus for the +4 Initiative, and the creature itself is decent, too. Past level 3, pick up hexes and the arcana I mentioned. Don't get Arcane Accuracy, it's not worth the cost. Ok...Evil Eye vs. Slumber. Evil Eye Pass save: -2 to something...

I did say V had a lot of hp for an elven wizard. Even a 14 con means s/he put a 16 into it before racial. And yeah, I always assumed V had like no ranks in the concentration skill to explain his incredible failings at it. Having a 10 con or 18 con matters much less for that at their levels of...

    Building a Str based Magus

Why do you like Arcane Accuracy? Frankly, other than Familiar, all your arcana choices should basically be hexes, I think. I would take slumber over evil eye. Evil Eye is too reliant on Cackle, which you can't afford the feat or action on, and too small an effect. Yeah, if they fail the will...

Changing The Game By Limiting Class Choice

That sounds fine. Perhaps buff rogue and monk as well. Only issues would be from the sudden lack of all that magic that the game assumes a party has and other intrigues. Like magic items that need new spells assigned otherwise they can't be created (or not w/o the +5 DC) and so forth. I'd be...

Changing The Game By Limiting Class Choice

The full BAB classes don't have spells (or many spells) and such. Hitting is their "thing." Is it so OP at higher levels or mid levels to have classes that can hit with all but a 1 on their first attack? The game assumes such in assigning its attack disparity. Medium BAB classes have a...

Changing The Game By Limiting Class Choice

What is your problem w/ the full BAB classes? Seriously, the only classes suckier than them are rogue and monk, and by leaving them out of your plans, it just sort of highlights the power disparity between those two and the "2/3 casters" even more.

    "Best" single class party

Go team cleric! Summoner would be very good at this, too. Master Summoner can practically be his own party as it is. ...Are archetypes allowed? Either way, the eidolons tank and sumoners can heal them w/ rejuv. eidolon.

    Iron Bands of Bilarro

It sounds like an item that's very poorly balanced. The 1/day and permanently breakable stipulations make it very unappealing to a PC. But the magnitude of power it has makes it quite nice to an NPC. Unfortunately, many things in the game have this sort of mis-balance. What level was your...

    "Aggro"

IMO, what you do defines your role. How you do it is defined by your class / fighting style / etc... As a most basic example, a rogue may do high single target damage and status effects by stabbing you in vulnerable spots while as a warlock may do it by shooting frickin lasers at people...

    "Aggro"

I would certainly be open to having tweaks on the combat roles based on class. The 3 I mentioned were just the general slots to be filled. And I made it intentionally that if you had 5 people, there would be good reasons to have any combo of the 3 roles (though preferably at least one of...

Changing The Game By Limiting Class Choice

Sounds like a world dominated by Summoners instead of one dominated by clerics and wizards. Ho hum. They still get a bunch of powerful high level spells, they're just packaged in lower slots. And they still get to break the action economy. Also not sure why you need to remove the full BAB...

Not true, V clearly has an insanely high Con score for an elven wizard. The abuse s/he takes and survives is astonishing! Also, Roy very obviously just plain old has the best rolls in the group. Which is fine as a consolation for being a straight classed fighter and having to be the...

    D&D 3.x Interactions Between Intimidation-related Feats (3.5)

    1. Yes. They're all based around using the intimidate skill to demoralize an opponent. I've used all 3 together. It's beautiful. If allowing yourself to get so many foes within 10 ft of you doesn't get you killed (can only use the skill trick 1/encounter to cower-lock all of them). Protip...
