    Taking 10 With Survival

I disagree. Maybe for US, it'd be too tough to accomplish on a regular basis. But people didn't use to have supermarkets. Humans managed to survive just fine as hunter/gatherers. Finding enough food and water to keep yourself alive, unless in extremely harsh conditions, should not be...

    Trouble editing posts

For at least the past week, I have been unable to edit posts by using the Edit button. When I click to save, it just does the loading circular motion without end. I've been able to circumvent the problem by clicking "go advanced" and saving from there, but I keep trying to just hit save from...

    Need Inquisitor suggestions

Growth is decent. Caves can be awesome if you go underground a lot (sounds like you won't). Regular Travel domain or Exploration subdomain (again, possibly not useful in an outdoors game) are strong. Tactics domain might be best. Gives you the ability to buff yourself and/or other people's...

    Feat requirement: Dodge

Cobra Strike Monk gets Dodge as a bonus feat at level 1. Monks do not need to be able to qualify for their bonus feats. Why do you only have dex 10, though? Dex 14 is helpful to nearly anyone, and even if going for non-mithral full plate, a 12 helps and 13 isn't too painful to drop in instead.

Spell balance question: Lethal vs. non-lethal

In games I've played, enemies getting healed happens all the time. Especially at higher levels. Just had a fight in our level 17 gestalt game where the enemy cleric//Something? had Fortunate Fate (level 7 spell; acts like a contingent Heal spell) and an actual Contingency Heal spell up as...

Concerning 3rd editions Wizard's being over powered.

No. This post is so incredibly utterly wrong in every possible way. 2E casting was not better balanced, the spells were even MORE powerful or vaguely defined. They just had some stupid random insane negatives that could hit you. Whatever. Till it hits, nothing's happened. After it does...

Spell balance question: Lethal vs. non-lethal

I'd say same level. Presumably it's lost the fire descriptor and so won't have to face those resists/immunities...just nonlethal immunities instead. But nonlethal is inferior to lethal unless the entire party is doing lethal, since a cure spell will wipe away an equal amount of both. So a 3rd...

    Good exotic throwing weapons.

You have Tome of Battle classes in there, but no Bloodstorm Blade. ....Why? Do you not like being able to have an enhancement bonus and special properties on your one (or two if TWF) only weapon(s) by going 4 levels into that? It also basically turns any melee weapon into a legitimate thrown...

Why is the Vancian system still so popular?

    Yes, this. Absolutely this.

    Which stat for init?

I like it how it is. Dex-based. I wouldn't mind seeing the die be reduced for init checks, like a d10 or 2d6, to make random variance lower. I WOULD mind greatly if init became based on a mental score. Casters already pwn and want to go first badly enough with it dex-based. Why in god's...

I'm going to make a "Tome of Battle" character. Swordsage? Warblade? Advice?

Your hp seems low for 3d12+16 (first d12 is maxed)...hmm...average hp 34.5, nevermind. I would drop cha to 10 and raise con to 14, especially if you're planning to use Concentration. You forgot +2 synergy for jump and tumble from each other, respectively. Also missing tumble's synergy to...

Is PF a good system for a party of "Bad Guys"

If you want, I don't have much else to say, though. And the OP was looking for advice on running the evil races, and how well they're balanced is important for that.

Is PF a good system for a party of "Bad Guys"

That....is still appallingly awful. Net -4 when standard race has net +2 and light sensitivity. They'd need a net +6 to stats from that to even begin to look playable. I'd do +2 dex/int, -2 str, remove light blindness everything else as you have it. Cat's Luck can stay or go, reflex is not a...

Is PF a good system for a party of "Bad Guys"

But it's not int. I don't think I mind +4 to a physical stat. +4 to a casting stat would be overpowered, absolutely. That should never happen. But even though dex is pretty good as a stat, it just doesn't compare to the value of a mental stat to a caster. I don't think any playable race...

Is PF a good system for a party of "Bad Guys"

Hobgoblins are balanced w/ the core races, goblins arguably are, depending on how much you value a +4 instead of a +2 (they're probably fine). Drow are balanced, Drow Nobles should never be a PC race. Orcs need buffing, a +4 is not worth 3 -2's in a system where the norm is a net +2, and light...

Why is the Vancian system still so popular?

Vancian is popular because it's a good resource management system. You have access to a lot of potential options, but on a given day you have to choose which ones to have and how much of each. People like stuff that rewards smart resource management. My favorite system I've seen is probably...

    I found a path

If you use fractional saves you should also use fractional BAB. Multiclassing medium BAB classes kills your BAB to a ridiculous degree. True multiclassing (having 2 or 3 classes roughly even in levels) is extremely suboptimal in PF, due to how much stuff is class level based now. Dipping...

I'm going to make a "Tome of Battle" character. Swordsage? Warblade? Advice?

Ah, and I just did a sample swordsage build. :( Just remember you can get rid of one of your 1st level maneuvers at level 4 for a 2nd level one. I would drop Stone Bones, it's really not that good. Seems you like Stone Dragon and Iron Heart. Would you be willing to spend your level 4 stance...

A sample level 4 Swordsage. Using Wood Elf and 32 point buy Str 18, Dex 16, Con 12, Int 10, Wis 14, Cha 8 Feats: 1 Adaptive Style 1 Weapon Focus (Desert Wind) [Swordsage] 3 Desert Wind Dodge Maneuvers (9 known; 5 readied) 1 Distracting Ember (DW, S) 1 Counter Charge (SS, C) 1 Mighty Throw...

I'm going to make a "Tome of Battle" character. Swordsage? Warblade? Advice?

Well, at least Swordsage gets a new stance at the right times. Like at 5th level. It's recovery mechanic is ridiculously borked, but at least you'll never have to multiclass or spend feats to get the next tier of stances when you're supposed to.
