    Power Attack offset

How much do you need to PA for, anyways? At low levels, many things wil just plain die to being hit by a greatsword hefted by someone w/ Str 18+. Certain great things like the Knockback feat require PA, but you can PA for any amount, so even just a -1 to hit will trigger the benefit.

    Reincarnate and stats

Reincarante is also significantly slanted towards being better for a caster. It does not affect mental scores one bit, and assuming you chose race based on boosting your casting stat primarily, reincarnate leaves you with a fair chance of walking away slightly better off than you were before...

    Fixing Monks.

Full BAB is definitely essential. But there are lots of other problems. The multiple ability dependency. The obscene cost of Amulet of Mighty Fists b/c it's priced for natural weapon users. The low damage (partly as a result of the last 2 things) and problems dealing with DR. The conflict...

    Streamlining Traits

3E had the Tactile Trapsmith feat to use dex instead of int for searching, so there's precedent for it. Makes at least as much sense as being wis-based. Searching isn't really a perceptive skill, wis has little to do with it, that's more of spot's domain. Searching is more knowing where to...

    Fixing Monks.

My sig has a link to my work on fixing 3E monk, though it's unfinished and insufficient. I made drastic changes to the PF monk here that I think mostly fix it for that game system.

    Streamlining Traits

Well, I plan to strip the search skill out of it and hand it off to a different skill (combined with sleight of hand; dex-based) as my way of nerfing it.

Large flying animal below 8 HD?

Halivar said Giant Eagle, which is from the MM and oddly enough, a magical beast and not an animal. Dire Eagle is an animal and from RoS. Completely different things. :)

    ToB, Warblade, & Feat Questions

What wyvern means is...given a situation where guy A has no maneuvers left and guy B only has Saph NM Blade left... ...Both are probably going to be spending their next turn recovering maneuvers. Having that extra low level maneuver left over won't often actually mean anything, you'll be...

    Lion of talisid

As opposed to turning into a dire tiger, hasting yourself, charge, and make a full attack action? Yup. Or taking the Wild feat that lets you burn a wildshape usage to make one charge a pounce. Or the 3rd level Druid spell in SpC that lets you make one charge a pounce. Or..

Large flying animal below 8 HD?

Dire Eagle from Races of Stone probably comes in under 8 HD, but I forget. Great stats, though.

    Streamlining Traits

I'm pretty sure there's already a trait to get Perception as a class skill. If there is, then there's no reason to shy away from offering it yourself. If there is not and I'm mistaken, then you are correct, it is the most powerful skill and I'd hestitate to give it out as a trait. That said...

    ToB, Warblade, & Feat Questions

I agree w/ the poster who said Warblades rock. All in all, Crusader is probably the most powerful of the 3 classes, but WB is close and way more fun (for me). All of these "shaftings" are pretty minor. The cust. serv. Q&A for Tome of Battle stated that meeting pre-reqs only matters when...

    ToB, Warblade, & Feat Questions

    1) I don't know, and it's a shame. I love the PrC, but in a game that's going to high levels, the Lightning Throw maneuver (my favorite in the book) > that entire class. IMO, it should advance IL and give a stunted growth of maneuvers learned so you can still pick up Lightning Throw and the...

    Warshaper question

Warshaper class features work whenever not in your normal form. It's not stated, but I think it's fair to assume they intended you to only benefit when out of your normal form due to an ability that qualified you for the class in the first place (so a lycanthrope wizard that can polymorph 1/day...

    Warblade Questions

Those are the only martial adept classes WotC ever made. Fans have made many others, including me. I would definitely pick any one of the 3 over Fighter. What do you want to do with your character? On the sound of it, I don't think Swordsage would be the best fit... Crusader is the best...

    Classes you play the most

Rogue, Druid, Monk, and Ranger. And other non-caster. Mostly Warblades and Swordsages for those. I forgot to peg barbarian, but I do tend to play classes with a mix of that often, as well. Basically, my most common characters are acrobatic combat gods that are inspired by...
