With a little over a day to go, the auction prices are still reasonable...come on, where are the high rollers?

    ETA for Spycraft release?

Well, I tried calling my local gaming store and (as usual) they were less than helpful responding with the ubiquitous, "Uh...I dunno. Call back next week." Thanks. I'm glad he's working at a gaming store and not manning a missle silo somewhere in North Dakota.

    A bizarre News Story

Hooray! The Washington D.C. metropolitan has yet another thing to be proud of! I expect to see a Witches' Coven move into my apartment building by the end of the year. May they look like Rose McGowan and Alyssa Milano. :)

Selling all DnD stuff on ebay

The biggest problem will be finding people who are willing to PAY hundreds for these books. Much like any other type of collecting, they is a very small market for such rarities. If you narrow it down further to people who actually check here or eBay, you're probably down to a handful. All I...

In the same vein as breaking up the collection, that's what I've done. http://www.enworld.org/messageboards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5187&pagenumber=2

    Axioms of D&D

Our incidents of #5 included: 1) The chairs we were sitting on had high-tensile strength glue with TNT strapped under them. 2) One of our players ended up going into the bathroom stall where Orcus just happened to be doing his business.

Selling all DnD stuff on ebay

Not to mention the fact that you're contractually obligated to sell to the highest bidder, whether that be $5 or $5,000. People also tend to shy away from reserve bids. You really need to post a list of all items since you have absolutely no description in your auction listing. Just saying you...

Rules/suggestions for running message board game?

In a word...patience. You have to assume that everyone is not online 24/7 and that your 10 characters may be in 10 different timezones replying at all hours of the day. Other things to consider. Have two threads going for any storyline. 1) An "on-topic" story thread where only the story is...

The terrorist attacks: What happened to the boeing?

Fortunately that part of the Pentagon was recently renovated and reinforced with modern engineering. If it had hit one of the wedges that hadn't been renovated (built in ca.1943)...you would have seen much worse damage. But being as there has been no proof leaked to the media in 6 months, I'm...

    Subdual Coup de Grace

We actually had a magical sap in a game I played in. For every 1pt of damage done, they was a 5% chance of knocking the person unconscious.

    Subdual Coup de Grace

Having witnessed (and been part) of a few fist fights, it's really hard to knock someone out. You'd be surprised at the amount of abuse John-Q-Public can take. That's also the reason why boxing matches last as long as they do. In D&D terms, everyone is basically waiting for the critical attack.

    Axioms of D&D

Presenting.... After four years worth of gaming in college with perhaps the motliest of fools, here is our definitive list. Note: Names, wording, and places have been changed to protect the guilty...er, I mean innocent. 1- Don't flash money 2- Don't believe or trust the waiters 3- Don't do...

I thought he was living in a van, down by the river! Oops, that's Matt Foley, not Vecna. We now take you back to the non-tangential discussion.

    Where did "Munchkin" come from?

Don't listen to him! I find it a strange coincidence that there are refineries in the same place as there are dwarves. It's all propaganda, the truth is out there...trust no one!

    Where did "Munchkin" come from?

Ah ha...the truth comes out! So, you're implying that dwarves are munchkin? I never really bought that whole "great constitution" thing. There's gotta be some lightweights in those mines who can't hold their ale.

    Where did "Munchkin" come from?

Working and living in D.C., I'd say that it gets a far worse rep than it deserves. About 95% of all crime in D.C. takes place within a small part of the city (Northeast/Southeast). Coincidentally, that's where the low-income and impoverished live...go figure. As long as you're not in those...

    Where did "Munchkin" come from?

Crapola. I was a bit apprehensive with comparing it to Mordor, but since Gary did...well, ditto for me. I could just see hordes of orcs laboring away in Northern Indiana. :) Haven't been to Sudbury, but I will mark it off my "things to see" list when I venture up to Canada this fall.
