I'd treat it as a greater version of Purify Food and Drink, raising it to Clr 1/Drd 1 to add the additional capabilities and leave it the same as the base spell otherwise.

Ok, for me as player that would have been reason enough to panic big time. You get used to bizarre shifts in spatial geometry, but in conjunction with that mosaic ... :confused: Great fun :)

I don't think, metamagic is considered in counterspelling. And I'd give Improved Counterspelling to mages automatically at a certain level instead of making it a costly choice. If someone has IC already and qualifies, he can get Reactive Counterspell instead.

The intention is, that you can only power one feat at a time by expending your psionic focus. In order to use one psionic focus (without crystal containment), you need one of the epic feats given in the XPH.
