Which summer movies are you looking forward most to?

Superman, Fantastic Four, and 28 Years Later (in that order).

Do you remember your first RPG purchase?

D&D Basic Set (B/X) at a garage sale.

    Non-fantasy RPG suggestions?

Eh. I had no issues with it. I mean, it didn't blow me away but I've seen much, much worse over the years. It's ultimately a matter of personal taste, I think.

    Non-fantasy RPG suggestions?

You can play Night's Black Agents as a straight spy thriller (just drop the vampires). It's a very, very, good game.

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

I picked up some extra cash from fixing some computer account issues today, so after I bought some groceries, I picked up Rasyr's Fantasy Express Lite and a copy of Adventure Perilous.

What Do You Call This Popular Beverage?

When I was growing up in Kansas, it was "pop" - but everywhere I've lived since then, it's been "soda". So, for me, it's now "soda".

No Initiative Order: How Do You Do It?

I use "Debrau Initiative" (named after my old Star Wars WEG GM). Basically, in combat, players take turns starting with the person seated to the left or right of the GM and rotating clockwise or counterclockwise (the GM may shake this up at their discretion). Characters get one action each by...

    Pace in your game.

It depends on the game. In my horror/weirdness games, my goal is to reach and maintain this tempo (Caution! NSFW because of violence!): My fantasy games tend to be much less frantic.

TSR Why would anyone want to play 1e?

For me, it was the copious amounts of malt liquor and the Manowar (played on 10, of course).

Oath Hammer - new d6 dice pool fantasy rpg

That might be difficult. While Maelstrom is technically still in print, it's through a different publisher. I think the original designers are no longer involved with the TTRPG industry.

Oath Hammer - new d6 dice pool fantasy rpg

Maelstrom Storytelling used/uses a die pool system where only odds count as successes vs. a target number. It's a legitimate system.

    Minimalist and One Page RPGs

My current house system, Front Range Minimalist, is complete in three pages (there is a supplement of character creation and world-building options). I love it. It's very much inspired by PbtA (the dice) and Risus (the descriptors). Perfect for one-offs and short campaigns. PM me if you'd like...

Games you need to go outside your normal group to play

Anything that isn't current edition official D&D or current edition World of Darkness, sadly.

    VTT Recommendations?

That was what I meant by weighting Roll20's steep learning curve against utility. Roll20's isn't hard to learn, but it also isn't easy to learn and its suite of tools is kind of... meh (especially for what you pay and the amount of learning you have to put in). IME, anyway. Some of the other...

    VTT Recommendations?

Haha. Yes. HarnMaster probably. Maybe Blood & Bone. Possibly Champions and/or Fantasy Hero. The only thing I really plan on playing in person in the foreseeable future is Star Frontiers, and that's because I invested in a Megamat and a bunch of starship minis for space combat (via Knight Hawks).
