Well, going into it I kinda figured 26 letters, 26 tables... it wasn't going to be the be all and end all. I have UT... great piece of work... huge piece of work. DA fits nicely on my Kindle DX, looks amazing both on my computer screen and the DX, and I happen to find it inspirational...

My guess? At some point they license an established VTT or allow an establsihed VTT to license 4e adventures. The idea of a WotC VTT should be allowed to die. It would never meet the expectations many of us had for it anyway.

I've blogged about some of my experiences with the DX and RPG PDFs. Hit my blog link below and then hit the Kindle DX tag. It should have a list of small reviews. Quick summary. Most RPG PDFs look quite nice on the DX tho there are some exceptions. Overall it works well for the purpose.

It depends on the file and the reader. The DX reads most PDFs really well, but those with artistic borders and background images can be less of a pleasure to read. The Astak Pocket Pro has a 5" screen and reads PDFs that are reflowable fairly well. Images can choke it, and borders can be...

On a side note, the man has good taste in art. Poor sense of right / wrong it seems.

I wish i could, but it never got played in my old group. I was given it by a player who hoped I would run it, but I never did. Never ran Gamma World and I owned the first print of that too. It did seem gritty tho ;)

I have a 9" acer netbook. After downloading a hack for the cooling fan (which runs constantly otherwise) I get about 6 hrs of surfing time. More then enough time for my uses.

I see this as a nice bonus for subscribers. I already have the 3.5 saga, wasn't going to spring for the 4e version. I get it at a slow trinkle so much the better. If I was going to run the 4e version anytime soon I'd have picked up the 4e sub already ;)

Depends on the VTT you plan to use. Fantasy Grounds 2 has a fairly active recruiting forum, Battleground much less so. iTabletop is in a holding pattern of sorts pending the release of V2 of the software, at least as far as new games forming. Maptools has decent activity in its forums. Which...

I play in what was once a weekly, now monthly, game via Fantasy Grounds and I've been having a blast. Plays very close to AD&D in my experience.

3e'ers and 4'ers come together for D&D Aid... The result is an OGL'ed GSL. Third party publishers bring about the D&D explosion for the second time, followed by the second coming of the D&D implosion. Last man standing is Warhammer, Old Maid's Collectible Edition.

From what I've seen its a glitzier but confusing upgrade to CoH. Don't think I'll be taking a bite from this one.
