    WotC: Kindle/E-Fiction Books? When?

I have the Kindle DX and I've been loading RPG PDFs on it almost daily. All are readable although some look much better then others. Dragon and Dungeon didn't look as nice as I would have liked. Most of the retro clones look really sharp. You can check my blog below for my DX-ability reviews of...

[Petition] We want the Game Table Back in Development

WotC promised a package of goods that they never actually had. It didn't help when they purged their programing staff last year either. I need macros for the dice rolled at my dining room table ;)

The new Kindle DX: good for gaming?

I've got 2 more blog posts up with 7 more PDFs reviewed for Kindle DX usage. I think I'll be diving into some of the free RPGs that are floating around next. I have found that extremely large PDFs are awkward to flip thru. I'm going to start bookmarking chapters and see if that helps. No...

OSRIC, do I need the book?

I ordered both the 10 and 15 dollar versions of the soft cover. Both look to be quality. The 15 dollar version has more vibrant color on the cover, the binding glue looks to be thicker and there is less shadowing of text and art from the reverse side of the pages. Spring the extra 5 bucks.

sony e reader and game related pdfs

hmmm... i forgot that the 505 will reformat the pdf to flow the text. The Jetbook zooms in on the page, so you are forced to move around, but it keeps the page intact. now I remember why my 505 is for book reading primarily. short of sony coming out with a firmware update i don't know of a...

sony e reader and game related pdfs

I'm not sure which model Sony you have but I can speak with experience about the 505. change the orientation to horizontal. You will only see one half of the page at a time this way but the print size should be more readable. The kindle 1 and 2 do not play well with converted PDFs that...

The new Kindle DX: good for gaming?

I've started to review how different RPG PDFs read on the Kindle DX: The first entry from the blog (and I still need to take some pictures) I've dumped a bazzilion PDFs on my Kindle DX at this point. Ok, maybe closer to 2 dozen, but have a bazzilion on my hard drive that have yet to make the...

The new Kindle DX: good for gaming?

Just have one pic up on my bog and it is far from the best (iPhones don't take great shots) quick notes: DDI - I had high expectations that Dragon and Dungeon would work well on the DX but they don't. The weird sizing of the pages doesn't display well on the DX. (edit: by "not displaying...

The new Kindle DX: good for gaming?

Bit of a thread rez ;) (this is a cross post from my blog, which I've also posted on the Fantasy Grounds forums - hoping to have pics and more in depth this weekend) Wow. I'm actually holding the Kindle DX. It is significantly larger then the kindle but about 1 1/2 inches shorter and 2 1/2...

Fell Taints Name Poll!! -- [forked thread]

Stinky Britches I also have the damn "I've fallen but I can't get up" classic commercial running thru my head, but now the person Fell on their... anyhow... Fell Taint is a poor choice for a monster name here in the New York area ;)

Is it "metagaming" to remind a player their power works on a miss?

It's metagaming to know the rule and leave its effect out IMO. Just becuse the player forgets a rule doesnt mean the gaming world forgets it. In any case, I'm sure if the rule forgotten benefitted the player by its omission the DM would have made sure it was used.

    virtual DDI game table shelved?

I wouldn't put much hope on the DDI VTT coming out anytime soon (as in the next 2 years). I was looking forward to it myself as last years video looked really promising. In any case, there are many 3rd party options: Fantasy Grounds 2 Battlegrounds OpenRPG Maptool iTabletop ScreenMonkey...

    Digital Game Tables

From my observations FG2 and Maptools have the most active communities. If you are looking for a group, or looking to add a player or 2 to an existing group, these are your best bets. Klooge looks very dated IMHO... I purchased my license years ago, only used it twice in pick up games of...

    Digital Game Tables

I've been playing in 2 FG2 campaigns... good stuff Anyhow, Battlegrounds (not free), Maptools (free) and Screenmonkey (i believe only the GM needs a copy... it runs via a web based interface) are the other main options.

And a fine company it is. Think I reviewed the setting you put out for FG2 on rpgnow. Very good value for the money.

It wasn't so much a dispute as confusion if I recall correctly. In any case, yes, this replaces ICon.
