I ordered both the 10 and 15 dollar versions of the soft cover. Both look to be quality. The 15 dollar version has more vibrant color on the cover, the binding glue looks to be thicker and there is less shadowing of text and art from the reverse side of the pages. Spring the extra 5 bucks.

It's metagaming to know the rule and leave its effect out IMO. Just becuse the player forgets a rule doesnt mean the gaming world forgets it. In any case, I'm sure if the rule forgotten benefitted the player by its omission the DM would have made sure it was used.

From my observations FG2 and Maptools have the most active communities. If you are looking for a group, or looking to add a player or 2 to an existing group, these are your best bets. Klooge looks very dated IMHO... I purchased my license years ago, only used it twice in pick up games of...

I've been playing in 2 FG2 campaigns... good stuff Anyhow, Battlegrounds (not free), Maptools (free) and Screenmonkey (i believe only the GM needs a copy... it runs via a web based interface) are the other main options.

And a fine company it is. Think I reviewed the setting you put out for FG2 on rpgnow. Very good value for the money.
