Demonweb maps - now featuring Scott Rouse question

This would be great, in my opinion. I'd gladly pay for access to miniature scale maps.

    Is print -> digital feasible?

By "gone well" do you mean from the perspective of the content creator or the content consumer? For example- the transition of newspapers from print to online has gone very well from my perspective. I read all sorts of newspaper articles online, but have no interest at all in the print versions.

    Dragonlance: Our LotR?

For the most part, yes. But some D&D novels - like Dragonlance and the Drizzt books -reached a far wider audience than just gamers. I think it's plausible that they were a lot of people's first exposure to fantasy.

    Dragonlance: Our LotR?

This is pretty much how it went for me, too (except that the very first fantasy novels I read were The Chronicles of Prydain.) I discovered Dragonlance at about the same time I got into D&D, and the first Dragonlance module was one of the first adventures I ran. I didn't read Tolkien until my...

    D&D 4E My faith for 4e crumbles

For me, having the publisher of a game be the only publisher of materials for the game isn't all that frightening an idea- it's the way things normally work. I wouldn't be bothered if 4e was 100% closed any more than I was bothered that 1e and 2e were closed (which is not at all.)

Or at least until next month. :)

    Why Worldbuilding is Bad

Yeah, what he's saying is actually pretty obvious not at all controversial. If he hadn't used such confrontational and absolutist language, it wouldn't have attracted attention or generated discussion.

    Devil Cult and Clerical Spells

It could be the act of worship (and not the object of worship) that grants divine spells.

    WoTC are you listening

I was just thinking about downloadable battlemaps. But battlemap/miniature sets specific to adventures would be pretty cool, too.

Expedition to the Demonweb Pits ToC

I'm not very worried. So far, no WoTC error called out on EnWorld has effected my game one way or the other. The vast majority of them I'd never even notice on my own.

    WoTC are you listening

They already create the maps, we're just asking for them to be distributed at a higher resolution. What's the point of spending all that time and effort creating nice looking tactical maps that (currently) only the DM gets to see? Especially when the new adventure format places such a huge...

    WoTC are you listening

It's extra work, and they do look pretty bad enlarged that far. And after enlarging you have to figure out how to print it broken up into tiles (assuming you have a normal sized printer.)

Expedition to the Demonweb Pits ToC

It also looks like the grid is missing from the Encounter F13 tactical map.

    WoTC are you listening

I'd be interested in this as a paid download, even.

URGENT HELP: Gaming Session in 2 Hours

If you have access to a printer, you could go to the site below and print out some 1-inch graph paper, and draw on it with marker. http://incompetech.com/beta/plainGraphPaper/

    [D&D] Confusion about Levels

    All of the above.

D&D is its own Genre of Fantasy?

Yes, D&D is it's own genre, and I've found that the most fun can be had with D&D by fully embracing this genre, instead of fighting against it.

    Eberron's Worth...

Data and the Tin Woodsman aren't really all that far apart. In many ways, they're the exact same thing. Warforged are totally fantasy versions of robots, just as much as the Lightning Rail is a fantasy train. (I say this as someone who has no problem at all with robots in D&D.)
