Yeah, My Rejection letter is here

I found that odd, too, when I received my letter. I wrote mine in third person, however. Maybe I should have tried to be really different and gone for second person. :)

April Dallas Game Day Planning Thread [UPDATED]

:D Yah! I've been waiting for you guys to do this since, umm, well the game day held in Denton 2-3 years ago. I would prefer the 4/3 date. And I vote for two short games, starting at 9 a.m. That will give the opportunity to try more games, and it's easier to come up with a short, 3-hour...

[Eberron] Help! Gala ball in Sharn

I also suggest watching the horse-racing scene and ballroom scene from "My Fair Lady."

    Coolest. Gaming Set-up. Evar.

You guys should do a workshop at GenCon. Or start a consulting business for others who want to do this. Or a TV series: "Gamer Playroom Makeover."

whats your favorite stat, if you had all 13's and 1 18, where would the 18 go?

Dex. I like playing stealthy fighter/rogue types, so it helps in so many ways: AC, ranged attacks, melee attacks (thank you Weapon Finesse), skill checks, initiative, reflex saves when you don't disarm those traps.

    Castle Zagyg cover art

Not just the castle, but also the extensive dungeons beneath it. This is the original D&D dungeon, the one Gary ran the first D&D PCs through.

What was the first monster you killed in D&D?

My first character, a fighter, killed a skeleton. My character was armed with a crossbow, a dagger and a bastard sword. I learned an important lesson about the necessity of blunt weapons.

Traveller T20: Tales of the Bray Keaven [Updated 12-20-05]

Watching the Marellia Landing with its slight rotation headed towards Fonnein's upper atmosphere, Kevon sees two main options. The first is to attempt to directly dock with the long liner either at its engineering airlock (easy) or its passenger airlock (difficult). Docking at the engineering...

Only one week left -- EN World fantasy baseball leagues forming

The scoring categories are a mixture, derived from several years of participating in many different fantasy baseball leagues. Some are the traditional categories most leagues use (runs, rbis, home runs, wins, era, whip, etc.) Some are what I call negative categories which sort of balance the...

who are the Shadowrunners among us?

I've read several of the SR novels, and I've played it a couple of times (years ago, when it first came out) at conventions. I've always been intrigued by the concept and the setting. I even own a lot of SR supplements, which I used when my gaming group played Cyberpunk 2020. But I could never...

Only one week left -- EN World fantasy baseball leagues forming

I was trying to set up the roto teams to be pretty close to actual major league teams. Most major league teams have a pitching staff of 10 -- 5 starters, 5 relievers. But I think you will find that many pitchers qualify for both SP and RP.

Only one week left -- EN World fantasy baseball leagues forming

I've created two fantasy baseball leagues on Yahoo. They are free. One uses roto scoring, the other is head to head. You can join which appeals to you, or both. In order to join both, however, you must have two Yahoo accounts. But they are free. To join the roto league: League name is EN...

Stellar Reaches: A new pdf Traveller Fanzine

The first issue of a new pdf Traveller Fanzine called "Stellar Reaches" has just been published. It supports CT and T20, but can probably be used easily by any Traveller ruleset. It also has material which can be adapted to d20 Future or other d20 sci-fi games. The issue contains a complete...

Which year did you start playing D&D

The summer of 1982. I was home from college. One of my friends from high school, who was also home from college, asked me if I wanted to play. He had just started playing while at college the previous year. He and I still game together.
