    D&D 3.x D&D 3.5 Web...

A typical combat with Web involved might look like this: Wizard (lv3 and Int 16) uses Web against five Goblins. The Reflex save to beat is 15. Goblin 1 succeeds in his reflex save, which allows to forgo making a Strength or Escape Artist check to escape, and can begin making his movement...

Dandu, I'd EXP you for that last statement, if I could.

    D&D 3.x Incantatrix 3.0 vs 3.5 prohibited school question

Think about what a specialist wizard gets for his denied schools. A specialist wizard gains 1 additional spell per level [per day] (that must be from his chosen school), a bonus feat every four levels, and +2 to spellcraft to learn spells of their chosen school. A sorcerer gains two additional...

Spiked Chain - AKA "The Cheese Whip"

Drowbane I'm cool with the stats on the chain. It hasn't really caused any issues for my groups. Although, I'd really like it to be a polearm instead of a spiked chain. The thing just looks stupid and unusable, especially when we consider the whirlwind/multiple attacks per round idea.

    D&D 3.x Incantatrix 3.0 vs 3.5 prohibited school question

RUMBLETiGER I suppose. I don't think I've ever made a character without thinking about what they'd be like at level 20. When you make a Sorcerer, you really do need to think about if that level 1 or 2 spell will come into use at higher levels, or if you're just getting it to make the next few...

    D&D 3.x Incantatrix 3.0 vs 3.5 prohibited school question

Strange. You'd figure that, knowing he can no longer cast those spells, he'd not choose to get them while leveling up. A little forethought fixes this issue.

Spiked Chain - AKA "The Cheese Whip"

I didn't say it was broken. I see no problem with it. Honestly, if your leap attacking, pouncing, shock troopering, power attacking fighter can't down a baddie in a round, there is something terribly wrong. Likewise, if that same gentleman doesn't think to grab Whirlwind Attack (or something...

Spiked Chain - AKA "The Cheese Whip"

The issue with the spiked chain is when you get very enlarged fighters wielding it with great cleave to take out the entirety of the enemy force in one round via the leap attack/pouncing feats. This isn't the spiked chain's fault. The spiked chain is fine.

    velociraptor?

The Fleshraker is a fantastic dinosaur to use as a pet/mount/companion, and has already been suggested.

    War Scythe

Add Disciple of Dispater (3.0) to it, and you come up with crits on a 9 (Tripled for Iron power, doubled for Imp. Crit/keen, Additional Point for ACF).

Dire Pick is d8 x 4. Dumping a feat to get a 19-20 on a Scythe is fine.

    Non-removable blindness and deafness?

Make the blindness a curse, rather than an ailment. They'll use RBD and it won't work. /done. Make the blindness caused by a Wish/Miracle/Deity.

    Grappling questions

The rules do state "roll randomly", but I think it is just poor English on the writer's part. The Improved Precise Shot feat states "you automatically strike at the opponent you have chosen. Normally, see the rules on the effects of cover and concealment.". It suggests that your DM should use...

Prone and two handed weapons question

Conventional Flight bow. Flight bows are not conventional bows, they have extended handles and overdraws. His record was using a recurve Flight bow, as opposed to a compound Flight bow.

Prone and two handed weapons question

Again, distance is the goal, not accuracy. Harry Drake set his record (1854m) in the 70's Groves' record is in compound bow use, as you can see here. The figure (1222m) is accurate for Don Brown's record from the 80's, with an unlimited pull recurve bow. USA Archery Records: Flight World...

    Divination Dilemma

The "Studied Carefully" category is "a place you know well, either because you can currently see it" ... or have used other means to study the place for at least one hour." This suggests that if you are currently scrying the location, you would be in the "Studied Carefully" category. What...

How far can a spell be pushed?

I'm about as confused as Herzog. Your questions(?) aren't very clear, and the bulk of your post doesn't seem to have anything to do with them. Perhaps you could try to be more clear?

Prone and two handed weapons question

I had meant to write "Turkish" the first time, and "Chinese" the second. Slip of the fingers. Buddies dragged me out to the bar to watch the UFC fight and drink last night, so I'm a little behind on finding you credible sources to specifically state footbowmen were used. I apologize...
