[OT] Could a Canadian explain this to me?

We Canadians tend to be a tad bureacratic for our own good at times... Just look at some our governments. -W.

[OT] Religious, political, censorship pants? PANTS!?!

That's a good resolution! Otherwise, we may end up with a world where pants on animals are mandatory, and on humans illegal... Wait a minute... No one should be wearing pants. Yes. That makes more sense. Yup. Perfectly logical... Pants are a crime against human freedoms...

    SRD Update

I think this is both good for d20 and quite *ahem* interesting too... Morrus - I think you make a good point about complications WRT referencing material from use (esp. in game!). At the same time I wonder about this: why not publishers attach their own proper noun to these very same spells...

$64CDN for Book of the Righteous?? Not in this lifetime...

Ooops! Sorry. I'm not fluent WRT all the publishers and products "out there". Funny thing: I am commuting between Montreal and Ottawa infrequently of late (I'm looking for work in Ottawa), so I pass by Vankleek Hill regularly... I know! Get yourselves some billboard space--gawd knows...

$64CDN for Book of the Righteous?? Not in this lifetime...

Canadian prices... Hi :) A few quick points: 1) The BotR sells for under $63 (62.50ish) at le Valet d'Coeur [levalet.com] and $56.00 at Captain Quebec. Both stores are in Montreal (like me) and they both sell Oathbound for the same prices too! (Interesting comparisons can be made I...

The Incredible Mystery of the Missing Monsters...

Thanks Grazzt! What an amazing list of monsters ya have there for ToH! :D (I took a trip to Nercromancer's board via your link.) Thanks for the answers too, but... I got another 2 questions :): What is the format/layout in the ToH like compared to other products? Have you set up a...

The Incredible Mystery of the Missing Monsters...

Tome of Horrors, eh? I was under the impression most of the content of ToH would be unique and variant outsiders accompanied by a host of original critters. I wasn't aware it would reintroduce 1E critters for 3E to the degree advertised. So I have more questions: 1) Are there only 1E monsters...

The Incredible Mystery of the Missing Monsters...

Hi again :) Here's an unofficial list of the MM II monsters for your reference; I got them off the artwork archives at wizards.com: Abeil, Amethyst Dragon, Ash Rat, Asperi, Automatons; Banshee, Bladeling, Blood Ape, Boggle, Bogun, Bone Ooze, Braxat, Breathdrinker, Bronze Serpent; Captured...

The Incredible Mystery of the Missing Monsters...

Hi folks, In light of the MM II arriving virtually on our doorsteps, it got me to wondering... I was looking at my old 2E "Complete book of Humanoids" in conjunction with the title to this thread. So, I must ask, whatever happened to the 3E versions of: Beastman Fremlin Gremlin Voadkyn Flind...

Beat Hong with a stick! (Was: not the right forum, but has anyone seen Angelsboi?)

Hi Angelsboi, Glad ::WHACK:: to ::WHACK:: hear ::WHACK:: you're ::WHACK:: back! :: pause :: That seems to be quite a big move having gone from East to West. I am certain you'll really dig living in your own space! Living on your own (no room-mates, no live-in boyfriends, etc.) for a...

Does being a DM make you a better Player? Does being a player make you a better DM?

Good questions! Generally speaking, I believe one learns best by "walking a mile in someone else's shoes". Thus, I find my past player experience helps me run as a DM. I know these days could use a bit of polish from playing on the other side of the screen--I feel I DM too much and play too...

    Everquest d20

It's worth the money... I bought it a while ago as something to add to my d20 library--as a resource if you will--and I wasn't disappointed for what I paid. Yes the iconic art is "questionable", yes it seems "gaudy", but it's a mechanical breath of fresh air. S&SS cleaned up some rules material...

    [GRPR] The Tree of Life

Most Righteous indeed :) Thanks for the free offering! I hope there's plenty more to come, and, as I study my own copy of this marvelous tome, I hope to contribute (as per the invite) something too one day :D I think Aaron loeb and Nichol Lindroos deserve an award for The Book of the...

    [OT] Annoying off topic posts.

I don't usually have a problem with [OT] flagged posts... I don't even have a problem with the occasional erroneous [OT] flag (needed/not needed issues)... My "bugbear" are posts titled one thing, and they turn out to be something else all together  A vague post title doesn't bother me, a...
