    D&D 5E (2024) Dual Wielding

Or Gnomes, goblins there are a few races you can easily grab and use as an improvised weapon. For best results play a Goliath so you have no worries about how much they weigh and the ability to grow larger. So Goliath Sailor (for Tavern Brawler) then Dual Welder

    D&D 5E (2024) Dual Wielding

Just as an FYI this math is off and there is no way to have both PAM and GWM at 5th level. 2(1d10+4) 19 + (1d4+4) = 25.5 35 if you are able to get off a reaction attack. With gwm as a 6th level fighter you now deal 31.5 or 41 with a reaction attack and finally a total of 44 if you use your...

    D&D 5E (2024) Dual Wielding

Well I mean the fact that it is Attack + Nick attack ( no dex modifier to damage) the bonus action attack (no modifier to damage). Granted your rogue has so many options to use their bonus action for that I doubt an extra d6 is worth it

D&D 5E (2024) Learning to Love the Background System

I am a big fan of setting specific stuff. I know our Eberron will have soldier for each of the kingdoms, at least 2 merchants, one for each dragon marked house, a couple of entertainers to showcase differences, 4 guides, and I know of at least 3 different acolytes.

I was assuming after the DMG comes out, all the people I know around me wont be making a change until the DMG or maybe even the MM comes out.

D&D 5E (2024) Learning to Love the Background System

Even if they are hard coded in it is super easy to create a homebrew background. Honestly, I kind of like that. The DM goes in and creates backgrounds like "9th Street runners" a kind of thieves guild, or "Served in the Great War" you can get guards based on the city they are from, solders based...

D&D 5E (2024) Learning to Love the Background System

So first I am fine with the ability scores the way they are. To me a 15 in my primary score is something I am fine with since all of the non origin feats give you a +1 abi. (Or 2 +1 ABI from your background and a +1 ABI from your class if people really need to start with that 16) Skills: I would...

    D&D 5E (2024) I just got a 2024 PHB From Gen Con. AMA!

It's more that the hast spell allows you to make another attack action but you may only make one attack. The ability that valor bards get is part of their extra attack ability that is why I don't know if it would work on that one. Don't worry about repelling blast instead just spend the extra...

D&D 5E (2024) Two Weapon Fighting and Nick article

If you want to house rule that then that is up to you however 2024 specifically lets you and in the videos has been encouraging it. Personally I don't like the golf bag of weapons trope but I do like being able to draw a new thrown weapon for each attack.

D&D 5E (2024) Two Weapon Fighting and Nick article

If you don't care about swapping weapons you can still make the 4 attacks if you are wielding light weapons like 2 scimitars or a scimitar and a short sword.

    D&D 5E (2024) I just got a 2024 PHB From Gen Con. AMA!

You should be able to cast a cantrip using war magic because that is using the attack action and allows you to replace an attack with a cantrip. I still don't think the extra attack from bard that allows you to replace an attack with a cantrip should stack with war magic. Assuming that it does...

D&D 5E (2024) Two Weapon Fighting and Nick article

Also a mistake the article makes is that you have to start out holding two light weapons so you can not start out welding a shield and scimitar. Second shields are not part of the ability to draw or stow a weapon when you make an attack using your attack action. Lastly I believe the ability to...

    D&D 5E (2024) I just got a 2024 PHB From Gen Con. AMA!

So I would say no since you are getting the same ability from two classes. It is just like how the extra attack feature doesn't stack. Now if you wanted to go bard lvl 6 then sorcerer to pick up quickened spell I would let you use that as a bonus action but it's not going to be all that useful...

D&D 5E (2024) Current Stealth Rule Actually Works As Is. If Moving Out of Cover After Hiding Makes Enemies Immediately "Finds You", Hide Would Be Totally UNUSABLE.

1: As you attempt to hide you notice that the level of light is just too much to conceal you, you think that unless you were to have some outside assistance like a spell or device there is no way you are going to be able to hide. (Every table I have played in has not let a pc attempt a failed...

    D&D 5E (2024) Clerics and 2014 Domains (+)

Honestly all I would do is remove the generic "Bonus Proficiencies" ability given to some subclasses. The abilities like "Arcane Initiate", "Blessings of Knowledge", "Acolyte of Nature" ect.. are core abilities for those subclasses so nI would let them keep those.

D&D 5E (2024) Are weapon masteries usable every single attack or once per turn?

Vex gives your next attack against them advantage so what happens is after that first attack you have this perpetual advantage against that opponent until you defeat them and move on to the next, so you almost never want to use it on multiple foes in the same turn.
