So scrolls, items from the herbalist kit and honestly items from the alchemy kit can easily be made with a campfire and your tool kit. Same goes for tailoring and painting.
Yeah but what constitutes a day because in other videos they have mentioned crafting while adventuring expecialy the smaller items like low-level scrolls and healing potions. That makes me wonder is a day still considered an 8 hour work day or is it something else.
So something that was not mentioned but I kinda hoped they changed is the ability to craft during an adventure. If they say you can craft while you are at your camp or that a day of crafting is only 4 hours and not 8 then that changes a lot.
Personally I think that they should have had Revised on the cover or maybe Anniversary Edition.
In other editions of D&D old adventures and modules were reprinted so you would have to re buy them, with them trying to keep this as the same edition they are not doing that.
IMO the best to watch are
Nerd Imersion who has a pre release copy but isn't on this list. He does deep content dives, completely going over a book or at least a section of the book. Very balanced in his opinions.
Dungeon Dudes wrote Drakenheim and are all around great guys to watch...
What detail of your backgroud of being a sage should give you a bonus to strength, I cant really think of one that would make sense that I as a DM or the other DM's I play with would accept as reasonable. You spent your formative time as a book worm and came to the barbarian life later than most...
How you would do it is Con +2 and Wis +1: S15, D14, C16(14+2), W12(10+2), I10, CH8
If I were making that type of character I would lower my CON to focus more on my mental abilities.
S15, D14, C14, W14, I10, C8
The Barbarian is a warrior who gets stronger when he rages not a guy with a 10 strength that turns into a guy with a 30+ strength (if we are talking about the hulk)
The Hulk, the Hyde are about smart weak guys who can not fight transforming into strong tough guys who can fight. That is...
So Bruce banner isn't strong, neither is Dr Jekyll. What you need is a Barbarian subclass that allows you to swap your Internet and your strength when you rage. The closet you can do to actually make a character like that is a Beast Druid where you fluff your animal forms adjust your hulk rage...
Yes but to be honest no one is going to play a sage who then turned into a barbarian, you have specifically picked a combination. That doesn't work thematically or mechanically on purpose just so you could try to say you are right.
All it means is that you will start out with a 15 Str and since all feats are half feats now at 4th level you will have a 16 Strength. Since the sage will be getting Magical Adept if my memory serves you will have spells which can not be used while raging which makes it worse for a Barbarian but...
Honestly I don't think that backgrounds are better in Level Up, the safe for Heritages (although I do like how easy it is to make a mixed heritage). Where Leve up does excel is in the creation of cultures. Cultures are hands down my favorite aspect introduced in A5E with my second being the...
I know most optimizers list cause fear as one of the best spells in that level. To me the summon spells are great but don't feel as appropriate on a sorcerer.
Until we see the actual wording in the book I feel like it is all a moot point. I expect that they will say something like talk with your GM about customizing your background, or if you don't see a background that fits work with your GM to make one appropriate for your setting. In the DMG I...
they have mentioned already that low level scrolls are easily craftable and readily available since it is now done with the calligraphy tool. It will more than likely be easy for a wizard to have 1-3 level spells scrolls that they can transcribe into their spell books.
Those are great examples and I really love 2 but saying that you are a half elf but using the elf racial abilities would allow you to do the same thing.
I can see that, the shifters it would work well as a lineage like the dhampire and revenant for gothic games.
Yeah my buddy right now is playing a Grung swarmkeeper ranger and he is so much fun.
