D&D 5E (2024) Are You Happy with the Selection of Subclasses?

It also works really well for a shamanistic style class who gets powers from asking for help from spirits.

D&D 5E (2024) Are You Happy with the Selection of Subclasses?

As far as other subclasses go I hope we see a drastic overhaul of the world tree or even better just the Ancients replace it for a defender barbarian. Conceptually I do not like clockwork sorcerers unless they are trying to really lean into the planar aspect of a sorcerer but conceptually...

D&D 5E (2024) Are You Happy with the Selection of Subclasses?

So Crawford was talking about the necromancer months ago and how it will be the 24 edition. Since it was one of the favorite among the staff I can only assume that it was moved from the phb to the dmg and will be with Death, Oath breaker and I hope Undead warlock, Shadow sorcerer, and Whisper...

    D&D 5E (2024) Wizard (Playtest 7)

Crawford has already stated in one of the videos that the new Necromancer was finished and will be released so since it isn't in the phb it will be in the dmg. Honestly I would love it if we got the Shadow Sorcerer, the Necromancer, oathbreaker paladin, death Cleric, undead warlock and other of...

    D&D 5E (2024) Fighter (Playtest 7)

The brawler would work better as a barbarian subclass than a fighter one and to be honest just doesn't work.

    D&D 5E (2024) What's your favorites new subclass?

Ocean druid is amazing but otherwise I've not been impressed of the new ssubclasses.

    D&D 5E (2024) What's your favorites new subclass?

I think the brawler would have been a better barbarian options.

    D&D 5E (2024) Is Magical Cunning enough? (Warlock P7)

We were talking about doing it like channel divinity is now with more slots to start with but only regaining 1 per short rest.

    D&D 5E (2024) Is Magical Cunning enough? (Warlock P7)

So our moon druid would burn through their wild shapes like they were going out of style atheist 1 on every combat with 4-6 combats per day. Our gm isn't going to be giving us a convenient long rest time before we make it through 4-6 combats so I know that the druid atheist will be wanting 1...

    D&D 5E (2024) Is Magical Cunning enough? (Warlock P7)

Bards, clerics, druids and paladins also have some good incentives to take a short rest, especially bards.

    D&D 5E (2024) Fighter (Playtest 7)

While I love my full caster spells over 6th maybe 7th level just break the game when compared to what non spell casters can do.

    D&D 5E (2024) Fighter (Playtest 7)

Since 2nd Ed gish characters have been my favorite and in 2nd Ed there were lots of ways of playing them. Now ever though eldritch knight is better, warlocks (and bladesingers) are just so superior that I don't know how I can play an eldritch knight.

    D&D 5E (2024) Wizard (Playtest 7)

This is also how the modify illusion ability (9r what ever it is called) helps. Your friend successfully notices that the wall is an illusion so in tower to show everyone that it is he passes his sword through the wall. The illusionist on the other hand shows his sword clashing against the stone...

    D&D 5E (2024) Fighter (Playtest 7)

If they just made it sacrificing 1 attack per spell level and gave it all to you at 7th level then that would make this sub class more desirable. With how Pact of the blade has changed I don't think we will see many eldritch knights any longer, not that we ever saw that many of them.

    D&D 5E (2024) The new warlock (Packet 7)

Wow I didn't notice that. Part of me can understand that to a small degree from an rp standpoint but I am a player and a dm who feels that if a pc is not enjoying part of their character then they should always be able to change that, be it a feat, a spell, a cantrip what ever.

    D&D 5E (2024) Sorcerer (Playtest 7)

What I want from the Sorcerer (whitch I will never get) is the ultimate specialist. You choose dragon then you get access to elemental spells that are specific to the color of the dragon you chose, you can also get fear and maybe a melee ability but that's it. Pick Shadow and you can use some...

    D&D 5E (2024) Fighter (Playtest 7)

If war magic at 7th level allowed you to sacrifice 1 attack to cast a cantrip or 1st level spell it would help a lot. Right now you are using your spell slots for utility spells or shield and maybe casting a cantrip instead of 1 weapon attack.

    D&D 5E (2024) Unearthed Arcana Playtest Packet 7 Live on D&D Beyond

So if you look at aberrant mind and clockwork all they get for that level are the spell, ist and a ribbon feature. When you compare that to the dragons new ac boost you can see why the dragon and wild magic don't have a unique additional spell list. If they were to add that then they would have...

    D&D 5E (2024) The new warlock (Packet 7)

To be honest if they did something like this and then maybe another invocation that made your ritually take only 1 minute or just usable at will outside of combat then every problem I might have had with the warlock would be fixed.

    D&D 5E (2024) The new warlock (Packet 7)

I love this idea but I would open it up a bit more so that it was on par with Thirsting Blade so maybe more like this. Learned Tome Prerequisite: 5th level, Pack of the Tome The eldrtich knoweldge granted by your tome increases, granting you a 2nd level spell slot. In addition you may att 1 2nd...
