I live in Warrior, 20 minutes North of B'Ham. I have not played for a couple of years but am thinking of starting a 3.5/Pathfinder game at my house. My wife has commented on learning how to play, I am a little rusty but could DM if needed. (I would rather play than dm) Nothing in stone but it...

    Cheap Mini's: Bucket of Dragons

I too have been looking for a good starter set (i.e. cheap) of mini's I found the Basic DnD game for 18.98+shipping at Toys-r-Us. It has 16 (Four Hero and twelve monster) mini's, a few map tiles, a set of dice and teaching level dungeon. Thats a 1.00 +/- a mini. (I forget what I paid in...

    Driuds: Too Much Metal

This is a good example. Druid X has to tend the land by clearing deadfall growth, underbrush and the like to keep forest healthy. I like this one too, prey hunts predator and kills of the weak or sickly, natural balance, circle of life, etc. I guess this is the one that really sticks in my...

    Driuds: Too Much Metal

I need some help with a petty question that has bothered me for a while. Why do Druids avoid using 'too much metal'? I thought the Druid class was nature lover/deciple, true?? Example, I'm Druid X, I need a bow or quarterstaff. Cut down a tree and make said weapon. Druid X is also naked...

    Why D&D is like pr0n

I would have to say that RPGs in general HAS to have violence to give characters something to do, gamewise. The role playing is something that can be side-stepped if you want more violence. You can't really sidestep the violence for more roleplay if it isn't written down in the module ahead...

    JollyDoc's Kingmaker-Updated 7/4/2011

Is it just me or is the Judge and Oracle of Iomeda a little blood thirsty?? (Joachim/Velox/Rich might could explain it better) It reminds me of the old cartoon of Daffy Duck jumping up and down screaming "Shoot him now, shoot him now!!" I'm not so sure that Ol' Civilar Hawkins could have...

What does your ENWorld name mean?

Stolen from an old Atari game. (H.E.R.O. Helecopter Emergency Rescue Operations I think was the name, Its been almost 30 years ago) I had origianlly borrowed the name for a AD&D cavalier that was loads of fun playing because he was a little self centered and arrogant but with the polish and...

Yea, Ricky is a big nerd.;) I got an 8ft (cherry wood I think)conference table for $0.00 from Carraway Hospital. Really good looking but nothing like the Emissary... (Now where did I put that jig-saw?:hmm:) Veloxs' backstory/discription has piqued my intrest. Sounds like there could be...

First Anwar now Thrisp?? Don't make Hawk come down there and get all Blackguard on you. J.D. :] (Shacking up with a lilliend, Alice with an undead template, spouting on and on about the Triad...) This is as good as any story hour gets. Maybe there is room in the d20 universe for (shudder)...
