This is addressed. Piercing weapons do full damage while slashing/bludgenoning do half damage.

Call it paladin hatred. Many gamers don't just not like a knight in shining armor, they dispise him (or her.) Also remember the 'Jacobian unknown' that no one can prepare for. The next AoW update will show how this is true. On a personal note, Hawk is my best powergamer build ever.

There is a divine feat that adds temp hit points and +10 to movement. Divine Vigor in one of the Complete books. (CW or CD i think) You have to have Turning Attempts to make them work tho' (Forgive me if this sounds stupid, Never played Ebberon myself, don't know much about the Warforge)
